Medium Ruby with aromas of berries, floral and spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and black raspberry with notes of currants, pepper and cinnamon spice and earthy oak notes. Aged for 10 months on French oak, fine grainy tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, vanilla oak character. Very nice. Good value! — 3 years ago
"Edgy and full of flavour, the Prisoner is a bold red meant for indulging. On the nose, expect a bursting bouquet of bing cherries, dark chocolate, clove and roasted fig, followed by juicy ripe fruit flavours. Notes of raspberry and boysenberry with hints of pomegranate give way to a lingering taste of warm vanilla on the palate. A long, smooth finish lingers in your mouth. " — 4 years ago
Hot iron, iodine, olive tapenade, beef, creosote, curing salt, pink peppercorn, talcum, garrigue, scorched earth, granite, black raspberry liquor, grapefruit, crushed cherry, creme de cassis, rose petals. Ripe, full of flesh with sinew to back it up, found the balance quite remarkable here. The sun and warmth is felt in the generosity, but the tannins and acidity are well within reason. Granite and iron still at its core. — 5 years ago
I mean where’s so much hyped smoke there’s got to be legitimate fire. — 6 years ago
Medium translucent ruby in color. Aromas of raspberry, root beer, cinnamon, caramel, and crème brûlée. Concentrated on the palate but with good acidity and flavors of raspberries and licorice leading to a long finish featuring fine grained tannins. Made with only 2% whole clusters then aged 15 months in 44% new French oak. Typical Russian River Valley fruit done up in Kosta Browne style. 14.3% ABV. — 7 years ago
On the nose black raspberry, black cherry, Asian five spice, some black tea. Good dose of acidity for a zin based wine; some tannin as well. More black raspberry, black cherry, hint of smoke, blackberry and spice on the palate. I don’t usually go for this type of wine (higher etoh, somewhat warmer and riper style) however given the old vine character, Ridge is a producer I do come back to every once and a while. Did hit the spot on a cold night. — 10 months ago
Even as an eight year old, this classic CDP is still very dark (almost black) in color. Beautiful aromas of red and black berries and currants, and lavender. Hints of earthy herbs and spices. The pallet is full of black berry/raspberry fruit, black licorice, grilled mushroom and cooked meat. Touch of black pepper spice on the finish. Tannins are there but they are extremely soft. Rich and elegant. Another fabulous vintage of this consistent classic. Thank you so much, Kasey and Petey! — 3 years ago
Domaine Drouhin Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2017: Medium-bodied. Bright red fruits on the nose and strawberry, raspberry, cherry & plum on the palate. Additionally, there is a light touch of forest floor, earthiness ending with a soft dry finish. Glad to be back supporting & enjoying some local outdoor dinner spots! Cheers🍷 — 5 years ago
Staying with the 🇮🇹 - Sassicaia means “place of many stones”. Roger that. Star anise, cherry and hints of raspberry. 💣🍷 — 7 years ago
On the nose, I pick up musty and but of dust along with strawberry and raspberry. A touch of leather.
It drinks very well. With delicate tannins. Tastes of berry and is fruit forward. More strawberry and raspberry. Slightly dry finish and raspberry lingers on the tongue.
Really great wine and is my favorite PN right now. Serving it with prime rib tonight. — 7 years ago
Light red. Light wooden tannins. oak chocolate black fruit faint tobacco. Light meaty smelll. Taste of oak blackberry plum cherry chocolate raspberry black cherry licorice blackcurrant cedar strawberry fig light pepper Very deep I smell and taste. — 2 years ago
"Beautiful deep ruby in colour, the intense nose releases blackberry, raspberry, ripe plum, cranberry and hints of chocolate, vanilla and a slight earthy note. The palate delivers a complex mix of ripe red and black fruit, exotic spice but also a farm yard earthiness that works very well with the oak infused vanilla notes." — 3 years ago
An outstanding Pinot Noir. Rich raspberry flavors and a smooth finish. — 5 years ago
Jammy spicy blackberry and cooked raspberry. Low acidity. Not a food wine but quite enjoyable. — 6 years ago
Profoundly earthy, with a great helping of pyrazine. Restrained fruit- blackberry and raspberry, and a garden-full of freshly turned soil, herbs and spices. Great balance of acid and tannin. Rustic and compelling - curious to see where this goes in a few more years. — 7 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Elegant Ruby color with red fruit aromas and gentle floral spice, aged for about 12 months in French oak, signature blend of grapes from Dundee Hills, Eola-Amity Hills, and Yamhill-Carlton AVA's. On the palate flavors of cherry and black raspberry with notes of herb, licorice and wet stone notes. Soft dusty tannins on a long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy notes. Very Nice! Drinking well now! — 8 months ago
