I was really impressed with this for such a young En Chamberlin vineyard. Fox fur and raw hot dog aromas rise from the decanter, dark herbaceous flavor profile—black olive, licorice, bay leaf. Thank you for hosting in your gorgeous cellar @Mike R you provided ear to ear smiles in your cellar — 8 years ago
Young still but great wine from this ripe year. So much going on, black cherry, black tea, vanilla, sap, spice, smoked meat, hint of anise, violets, I catch skunky barnyard now and again, but it's subtle.
Big deep palate, with smooth tannins are integrated but will resolve and smooth out in years to come still.
Knocking on the door of really great Burgundy.
Good wine for a fairly crappy day that I feel like drinking good wine after and venting about on a wine app, ha. Found out this afternoon my little buddy in the background has lymphoma, not sure how long he's got yet, waiting on more tests, but at max it's not more than a year or two, at worst very soon. But he's lived a good (and very spoiled 😉) indoor life with us for 14 years, and he'll get lots more chin rubs, ear scratching, and love before he goes. 😿💔 — 8 years ago

Good ear for HL grade drinking wine — 10 years ago
To quote @Mike R this had us smiling from ear to ear. A completely balanced, yet complex wine. Layers of cassis and kirsch on the nose, dark fruits - blueberry, blackberry - mingle with cigar box and wet rock (in such a good way) on the palate. Medium bodied - it’s not terribly viscous - but super integrated tannins and acid. I loved this wine. LOVED. Sweet spot for sure. — 7 years ago
I was expecting an angel to sing in my ear, given the vintage and producer. My experience fell well short. Needed loads of air to coax it out of its shell. Overall, a disappointment.

This had me smiling from ear to ear and was, to me, as perfect as a wine could be. Everything was in harmony and such a great middle road between old and new world. This wine is so distinct I think I could pick it out blind. Dark fruit just dominates the nose - blueberry jam and boysenberry. The palate is smooth and lush. While the nose has jam, the palate is not extracted or sweet. It just is a perfect orchestra in a glass. I know that sounds corny but it's true. This wine is so beautiful and has a long life ahead of it. I've been fortunate to have many "100 pointers" and some have been great, but this is my first perfect 10 for me on Delectable. My better half argues 9.8 but I'm the one on this app so my call!! And, PS, it paired perfectly with Diana Ross live - this wine is "The Boss." — 8 years ago
The first time I tried this one I thought it was cooked and it turns out I am probably correct. This second bottle was absolutely amazing. The first smell gave me elements of tobacco in tar. You could smell the smoke ear itching stickiness of like a fresh paved Road or old cigar stubs. After that there was a second layer of cherry. it was incredible. it wasn't like a sour cherry so much as it was a maraschino cherry. There was the third and final layer of milk chocolate that was a perfect balance of the first two. Imagine eating an amazing chocolate covered Cherry while smoking a Maduro cigar at a gas station and that's exactly what you have. Musical most comforting feeling to it. This is something you should want to drink by yourself curled up with a good book or with a good movie on. My only problem is that it comes off is almost stopped and off balance or amateurish version of the mastroberedino radici. The alcohol is a little bit too prominent on the back end and I would like to see it aged a bit more I think this one would be about 5 times better in about 5 years. Also I would like to have seen a slightly Fuller body. I purchase this wine for about 19.99 and I have to say I'd go with high as about $28 for this bottle. — 9 years ago
Lovely date night at Publican-- perfect bright and zippy but deep counterpoint to boudin noir, marrow, Serrano, beets, and little gem lettuce with crispy pig ear! — 10 years ago
A wonderful red wine blend that we enjoyed with goats, pig ear, and bone marrow. Low tannin, mid acidity, and nice and dry. — 10 years ago
De c-EYE-ear. We opened this and it smelled like paint. Not the beat way to impress a date. But ive never seen a wine open so quickly. Within 15 minutes this wine showed the profile classic to Ribera Del Duoro wines. This js a great value if you can find it, an even better winery if you're going to do the tour. — 7 years ago

Aromatics that make you want to wipe it behind your ear and wear it. Milk duds, Chinese five spice and carnation fill your nose. More complex then words-dense, mouth-coating texture vanilla bean, wet earth, currant and espresso fill the palate. Ultra-fine tannins integrate well. Rich and ripe finish. — 9 years ago
Like Elton John whispering 'Tiny Dancer' into your ear. An intriguing and spontaneous willingness to go there. — 9 years ago
Exciting tiny bubbles covered the entire bed of the glass, I put my ear to it and listened to it sing. No toast, unripe stonefruit, and raw almonds - sexy and young, lots of energy — 9 years ago
I have been drinking a lot of beers lately, that is because I have far too many!! 69 different beers at last count! Most are strong ales, barley wines, and barrel aged (fill in the blank) this coffee stout is just a simple old favorite with a mocha nose, and a wood ear mushroom rustic touch. A mostly creamy head with animal cracker lacing, a well-integrated and borderline milk-stout mouthfeel, strong coffee note that remains well into second breakfast. The beer geek brunch is on tap down the street. Feral coffee? Let's get schizophrenic! — 10 years ago

My first glass of wine in over 2 weeks. I’ve had pneumonia and an ear infection along with 4 rounds of antibiotics. I’m finally starting to feel like eating and having wine. I picked this one because I really liked it last time I had it. From what I can taste it’s very tannic and acidic but that could just be me. No matter what I’m still going to savor and enjoy it!
