Pale-golden. Quince, herbal.
Minerality with an acidic lift. — 7 years ago
Excited to taste modern Chenin from a top-tier South African producer. A little taken aback initially by the new oak character, but it mellowed after a couple of days and revealed a bit more varietal character. The wine retains freshness, acidity and nice core of apple and quince but is not clearly delineated as true Chenin Blanc. Lacking the delicacy, floral and subtle herbal notes that pure Chenin tends to express. Any debate about this wine is a matter of style, not quality. — 8 years ago
Ripe pear, quince on the nose. Pineapple, slightly sweet, honey flavors — 8 years ago
Classic Chenin nose with pear, quince and lemon fruit. It has a pretty hint of hazelnut and flowers to add complexity. Round with quince and tangerine fruit tones that quickly turn to high toned mineral and floral flavors. This has a zesty, mineral driven back end. — 9 years ago
Weighty richness on the palette with just the right amount of acidity. Quince and ripe red apple dominate with candied lemon zest, and a touch of wet stone minerality. — 9 years ago
Pale gold color with very appealing aromas of apple, orange zest, hazelnut complicated by a chalky minerality. On the palate, the mousse is delicate and creamy, but the wine itself leans toward medium-full bodied. It is vibrant and balanced with apple, orange zest, hazelnut, and hints of honey and quince flavors with some time in the glass. There is a lingering finish with an appealing chalky minerality. Blend of composed of 70% Chouilly Grand Cru Chardonnay, with the balance being a combination of Tauxieres and Epernay Pinot Noir. 2004 Brut Prestige. Wonderful value Vintage Champagne from a highly regarded vintage — 9 years ago

Medium lemon with Medium (+) intensity developing aromas of straw, pear, quince, apple, toast, blossom and honey. Off-dry, with medium alcohol, high acidity, medium (+) body and medium (+) . This is so beautifully balanced with flavors of quince, apple, pear, toast, straw and honey. Long finish; drink now but has potential for further aging. Outstanding quality. — 7 years ago
Happy National Champagne Day in France. My wife tells me I would give up my US status for French as I love & drink more French wines than any other, which is true. So, why not a little 2007 Bollinger La Grande Année?
On the nose; perfectly ripe red & green apple, pineapple, lemon, lime, quince, touch of ginger, caramel, cream soda, grapefruit with pith, sea spray, beautiful soft chalkiness, some white peach, spring flowers, jasmine and yellow lilies.
The body is rich, creamy, beautiful and heavenly over the palate. The micro bubbles are tiny and delicate. Length is just how one would like it. The acidity is near perfect. perfectly ripe red & green apple, pineapple, lemon, lime, some white peach, quince, touch of ginger, caramel, cream soda, grapefruit with pith, green melon, guava, sea spray, beautiful soft chalkiness, deep palate penetrating grey volcanic minerals, spring flowers, jasmine and yellow lilies.

Creamy quince. Tons of dry extract. Has a real presence to it. Very mineral. — 8 years ago
Quince, honey, melon fruit - Screaming acidity medium body — 8 years ago
Bright fruit notes of orange, pear and quince with just a hint of thyme and bay. Palate is rich and broad with orange peel, lemon curd and pear fruit flavors. A touch of minerality helps keep the wine from being to rich. — 9 years ago
Deep gold, with slight browning (That's age for ya'!). White mousse with persistent medium bubbles. Nose of dried apples, ginger, and bread. On the palate, quince, white pepper, brioche crust. Acidity still bright; enhanced by the bubbles of course. Still solid after all these years! I'm having cheese omelette and Brussels sprouts. — 9 years ago
Graham cracker, ripe golden apple, and bruised quince. Like blossom, wet sandstone, and low tide. Really looooooooong finish. Candied tangerine rind, marcona almond. All damn day. — 7 years ago

Just can't get enough of this bottle, best QPR in Champagne, for my palate!
Prior notes apply; Nose is toasty brioche and a minerally quince jam. Ultra clean, creamy palate reflecting the same notes.
I love this wine! Thank you @Lyle Fass — 6 years ago
