Tasted blind. Light gold color. Exotic nose. Notes of citrus, grapefruit, tangerine, lemongrass, cut green apples and a little pineapple. Goes great with the cheese and snacks we have. I’m immediately in Sancerre world with my guess. Very mineral in it’s mouth feel, lots of acidity. I guess Cotat as the producer. This is a fun wine, and really well made. — 3 years ago

If it’s good enough for the queen...? Just add a stinky cheese — 6 years ago

Delicious! Tasted like I could cut it with a knife….. — a year ago
Nicely rounded with smaller cask. Maybe sherry or orloroso. Big peat per usual. — 4 years ago
Great minerality and cut, still quite nice acid, rich fruit but undeniably Chablis on the palate, another wonderful bottle of older Raveneau Grand Cru Chablis!! — 4 years ago
Fruit, earth and tannin in perfect balance. Great acidity to cut thru a rich steak. — 5 years ago
Delicious, jammy, not sweet, not dry. — 6 years ago
Tastes of fresh cut apple and pineapple with aromas of orchard fruit, white grapes, caramel, honey, and white flowers overlaid with limey minerals. — 7 years ago
Citrus fruit, cut grass, decent minerality and acidity. — 2 years ago
Nose has dried strawberry, dry-crushed granite, rose and cut tangerine.
Palate is under-ripe strawberry, dried tangerine peel, wet minerals with a medium length finish, decent acidity.
Not the same as the 2016, seems lesser or closed up a little. Still a few bottles in the cellar, we'll power through them before the end of Summer. — 4 years ago
Continuing the 2011 extravaganza with this light Spatlese. That's right! I didn't get it wrong... It's a light Spat. Too powerful and sweet to be a kabi in my opinion, but as a Spat - Glorious! The tug and pull between sugar and acid is at a deadlock. Brilliantly balanced. The nose is spicy, herbal, floral, and very typical of Egon. The palate is crystalline. Like sucking on a piece of slate that was used to cut lime, then rubbed with mango and preserved lemons. To finish, take a bite of the juiciest peach, then lick some rock salt. The finale is long, smooth, and begs for you to take another swig. Gone in no time at all! — 5 years ago
Nice easy drinking wine on the sweeter side. Paired well with pesto chicken — 5 years ago
1/5. Corkage at the Nomad. Medium /light gold. Slightly viscous. On the richer end of spectrum. Dried citrus, spice, not a ton of cut left. Not quite as persistent and long as the last time a tried this. But a very fine bottle nonetheless. Drink. — 6 years ago

Unexpected delight. Decanted and allowed to breathe for about half an hour. Deep ruby color, good legs. Fragrant, fruity nose. First sip was meh. Second sip…it sprang to life. Rich cherry and blackberry. Hints of oak, vanilla, and cocoa. Tannins mellowed out and the acidity softened. Thought this was going to just an okay wine. I ended up enjoying it more than I thought. Would happily purchase again. — 9 months ago
