Had the 2016 in 2025 and holy crap this was good! Had it with a.cheese platter that included many robust flavors and a couple of blues, the wine was phenomenal! It even left my husband in a pucker. — a year ago
Just love wines from the Etna region in Sicily, think junction between Pinot Noir and Nebbiolo, structured but medium weight on palate, long finish, it’s not a powerful wine, — 7 years ago

Great nose. Herbaceous. A bit too much bell pepper on the palate. Maybe should've decanted a bit. — 8 years ago
Incredible Nerello Mascalese wine from the slopes of Mt Etna. Made with Burgundian precision by Terre Nere. Bursting with vibrant minerality and fresh dark red fruit supported by soft, small grain tannins guiding it to a smooth, lingering finish. Rivaling a Grand Cru from Burgundy. If you haven’t tried a wine from Mt Etna yet, this is the year!!! — 8 months ago

Nice soft mousse body, yellow peach, tropical melons, pineapple, some lemon meringue, lime zest, slightly bitter apple cider, whipped cream, hard chalkiness, alluvial limestone, saline, sea fossils, bread crust, yeastiness, yellow florals, racey acidity, nicely balanced & structured with a finish that lasts 90 seconds.
Needs a few more years in bottle. — 2 years ago
A real treat of a wine, deliciousness in a bottle. An intense copper, pink color with small bubbles. An intoxicating nose of black cherries, wild strawberries, and smoke. There’s a very nice mix of fresh herbs and spices here, as well. Shrubbery and floral accents.
Mostly Pinot Noir from Vertus along with 10% Pinot Gris, made in the Saignée style. Thrilling and quite vinous with enough of that customary Larmandier-Bernier raciness and tension. Such a beautiful mouthfeel and so incredibly fresh. A fine attack with zippy acidity and impressive length.
Plenty of fruit on the palate but never descending into a fruit bomb. Just a touch of biscuits with more smoke and more pronounced earthiness. Truly, a splendid wine. One I could drink everyday but it’s so much better shared.

20 years old, and still wonderful. A very well-made wine. — 5 years ago
Luminous red. Aromas of flinty red berries, fresh herbs and broom on the enticing nose. Then richer and riper than the Pirrera, with a smoother, deeper personality and a more balanced approach to its fleshy and structured red fruit and herbal flavors. Finishes long and crisp. 2013 is a great vintage that gives pronounced fruit and acidity. — 7 years ago
Pascal et Nicolas Reverdy – Sancerre Rosé “Terre de Maimbray” 2016
Loire Valley, France 🇫🇷
Overview
From the limestone-rich slopes of Maimbray, Reverdy crafts this 100% Pinot Noir rosé, showing how Sancerre can shine not only in whites but also in elegant, age-worthy rosés. Though Sancerre is world-famous for Sauvignon Blanc, about 20% of its vineyards are planted to Pinot Noir, which can be vinified as red or rosé. This bottle demonstrates just how gracefully a Loire rosé can evolve with time.
Aromas & Flavors
Wild strawberry, raspberry, and redcurrant with rose petals and dried herbs. With age, subtle tones of candied orange peel and a light spice develop, adding dimension without overpowering.
Mouthfeel
Silky and rounded, with acidity still intact to keep it lively. Medium-bodied with a savory edge, balancing freshness and maturity.
Food Pairing
Perfect alongside charcuterie, grilled salmon, or roast chicken. The evolved texture also makes it a great partner for mushroom risotto or lentil dishes.
Verdict
A rare aged rosé that proves Pinot Noir from Sancerre can deliver both finesse and staying power. Still vibrant after 9 years, this wine highlights Reverdy’s skill and the region’s versatility beyond Sauvignon Blanc. — 8 months ago
Very funky on the nose. It seems to open in the glass but I left it overnight and still has funk from the bottle. I wonder if it got too warm in the store. Anyway it still has a great game, herbal, floral, and bright cherry fruit. Best with food. I didn’t like as much as last year though. — 4 years ago
Loire power couple Catherine and Pierre Breton have cab franc all dressed up. 2014 Les Perrieres is their prize - pretty now, will be beautiful in time.
Elegant and deep - traditional the way cab franc contributes to Bordeaux blends.
Old cedar and pencil shavings. Fresh raspberries and stewed plums and black cherries.
Concentrated perfectly - salty solution with a little grip. Plenty of time to mellow out. — 5 years ago

Extremely floral on the nose, intense red & blue fruit on the palate leading with cranberry right after opening, then blueberry, finishing with some earthiness and a slightly gritty texture leaving a finish on your palate reminding you the wine was there. Bottle really evolves after some decanting! — 7 years ago

A bit too much cassis flavours for my palate which I do not recall when I had my first bottle about a year ago. Nevertheless a very good wine — 8 months ago
