Bright citrus, green apple, brioche, lemon, high acid — 2 years ago
We had a taste test among 4 Champagnes, this Pierre Peters Cuvee de Reserve, Blanc de Blancs, Dampierre Cuvée des Ambassadeures Premier Cru, and Pehu Simone Face Nord Extra Brut Grand Cru. This one is the weakest in taste, quite band. The Dampierre was the best, bold and tasty finish, while the Pehu Simonet was very drinkable, nice taste but weaker finish. — 4 years ago
Excellent! Clearly Chardonnay, lemon curd, almonds, a berry cream. Palate is big and then ends with a cleansing finish of tart apple, citrus, and saline. So balanced. I really can’t see many people complaining about this one. — 3 years ago
Simply outstanding and delicious. Great combination of light toast and tart raspberry. Yum. — 4 years ago
When I can almost see the weekend.
NV Pehu Simonet Face Nord Rosé Grand Cru is a 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay blend. Striking pale salmon color. This is Verezenay and Verzy Grand Cru fruit. This is delicious. Stunning acidity, laser focused finished. Beautiful dry champagne. Paired perfectly with Indian.
Because champagne is always a good idea.

Compared to Pehu Simonet’s Face Nord Grand Cru Extra Brut, this is a little bolder with a more tasty finish. — 4 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The wine pours a deep straw, bordering yellow color with medium+ viscosity and a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of raspberries, lemon, brioche, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose though the fruit seem rounder on the palate than on the nose. The finish is medium+. A fairly agreeable Champagne. Disgorged in October 2022. — 9 days ago
