Outstanding wine. Chris Carpenter never disappoints. — a month ago

Opened just prior to dinner. The 2008 Coteau de Vernon pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of peach cup with the pears and cherry too. There’s white flowers, honey, fresh mint and other herbs too. Wow! On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and oily. This bottle came across young. A benchmark Condrieu. Drink now through 2038. — 2 months ago
The wine is in beautiful condition at 10 years - still bright deep Ruby with explosive blackberry, black cherry, violet, cedar, clove and vanilla. It’s beginning to show tertiary notes of forest floor, tobacco leaf, and cigar box. It still has several years of life ahead but is captivating now. Long finish with plush ripe tannins. — a month ago
