2023, 30 min in with a medium rare steak: great addition. Fine balance matching the subtle tenderness of the meat. Enjoying it. — 5 months ago
Clean, fresh at nearly 5 years. Reductive and a little spritzy in a good way. Resembles a top German Müller-Thurgau. — 7 months ago
First wine for ‘ National Drink Wine Day’! Aged white. Has a golden, straw color. Like a shiny wedding ring. Smells of honey and lemons. Just a hint of rain soaked concrete. Flavors are unique. Citrus buried under a bit of mellow Gouda cheese. Or maybe havarti. Get slight lemon peel in it. Has plenty to offer even with 8 years of aging. Elegant and ‘fancy’ feeling. Very balanced. Zippy, but just slightly ‘buttery’ or creamy. This is great white wine. — 9 months ago
One encounter with an ex-château bottle suggested that the 1966 Lynch-Bages is not to be overlooked. Deep in color, it has a tempting nose that unfolds gradually in the glass, graphite and cedar commingling with crushed stone and red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a firm entry, very cedary with touches of desiccated orange peel. It's a bit conservative on the finish, though that is a leitmotif of the 1966 vintage. Well-preserved bottles should still be giving pleasure. Tasted at the Lynch Bages vertical. (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2023) — 2 years ago

Great acidity!!! Fresh not cloying in the least with dried apricots and what someone would say a just opened can of tennis balls. Much too young at this point. — 9 months ago
