Pale gold color in glass. Yeasty notes up front that dissipate with bubbles, light citrus, soft green apple and wet stone on the nose. Lots of complex aromatics that became even more expressive as the bottle warmed up. Some oxidative notes mixed with bread and flowers. In the mouth this leans to the vinous side. Acid driven which allows it to be consumed through out the meal. Just a hint of bitterness on the finish — 2 years ago

Never disappoints. Beautiful melange of red fruit, earth, spice and acidity. Full of power but not heavy. As good as some Grand cru’s . Coteaux Champenois is never inexpensive but this has become very pricey . Granted I have not had a large number of still champagne but I have enjoyed the journey.
