Easy drinking and pairs easily with a variety of food. Has a little zip to it. — 6 years ago
St Laurent? Say no more. This varietal always steals my heart but I’ve only had it sparkling once before. Pleasant like a nice summer day, it’s fresh and lively, clean and bright. — 6 years ago
Very light and a bit funky. Served slightly chilled and it was great — 7 years ago
I’m a total noob to sparkling wine, but I absolutely love this. — 8 years ago
Clear, deep ruby colour. Clean, pronounced red fruits and pepper on the nose. Dry, high acidity and tannins, with ripe plum, red cherries and heaps of pepper! Full-bodied with a very long finish. Very good quality.
Great accompaniment to the beautifully cooked, glazed fillet.

Lovely Morgon, vivid and focused, yet with enough fruit generosity and exuberance to drink well in its youth. Nicely aromatic, with good breadth on the palate, without crossing the line into opulence or sweetness. Just perfectly ripe. Red fruited and floral, with a nice acidic streak and ripe tannins working together to provide structure. Good energy. Excellent producer of honest, pure, tasty Bojos. — 4 years ago
Solid red I picked up for cheap to cook w pot roast. Never had Sankt Laurent before. Medium tannins w light body. Red fruits and leather. Almost caught a little bubble gum aftertaste although that might be because this is my third bottle today and I’m starting to lose it. 11.5% — 5 years ago
Ruby red color with a watery rim. Hint of large game blood, wet earth, and fresh dark cherries on the scent. Ripe dark fruit up front, sweet almost; followed by stern tannings and a dry finish. A young wine, medium body, almost light alcohol but with lots of character yet easy drinking. Unassuming wine, extremely enjoyable. One of those, great all-around, Southern Rhône blends... — 6 years ago

a real nature wine without artifice Syrah only. after aeration of two hours, notes of black fruit blueberry violet, prune, olive. dense and floral. generous and rich, in simplicity. A lot of pleasure — 6 years ago
Lovely bubbles for boyfriend’s birthday. A hint of brioche up front, with solid tropical fruit in the middle, rounding off with a medium body and tiny bubbles. The perfect finish. — 8 years ago
Big cherry fruit with a lipstick like intensity. I love the fruit character of 201.9. Mid to late season cherries. Palate is sleek and juicy with nice mid palate opulence and terrific acidity. Elegant and so well made. Pitch perfect. — 2 years ago
Big QPR #sancerre - while less layered than fancier examples from the AOC, still that fine balance between crispness and more richness than you expect from #sauvignonblanc - I can envision this with a not-spicy crab fried rice. — 3 years ago
A bit much for me.
Nose borders on tropical. Very rich.
Palate is rich and dense. Some echoes of wood. Opulent. Any minerality is in the background.
Not my style but an excellent example of what it is.

Superb aromas, lovely mineral depth. Ripe citrus and terrific aromatic energy. Dried tree bark. Palate has oodles of energy and freshness and a lovely sleek texture. So juicy and complex. Amazing balance, finesse and purity. Terrific inner mouth florals. Concentrated, structured and so deep. Long windy finish. — 6 years ago
Tasted from magnum, the 2004 Grande Cuvée Rosé Alexandra, Laurent-Perrier’s flagship Rosé is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir (on the skins) and 20% Chardonnay vinified together that has only been bottled seven times since 1982. From the very first taste, the 2004 is utterly spectacular. Rich, ample and vertical in feel, the 2004 is dazzling. Dried rose petal, star anise, tobacco, dried flowers, red berry fruit and earthy notes all grace this utterly exquisite Champagne. As good as the 2004 is today – and it is fabulous – it will be even better in another few years’ time. The 2004 has been nothing short of magnificent on both occasions I have tasted it so far. Really nice fruity gamay. Unfined and unfiltered wine gives this a unique body and texture for a gamay. — 7 years ago

Light bodied, low alcohol, bright acidity and soft tannins. Easy drinking summer red. Had it chilled. Great break from the usual. Fruit forward & funky. Great for a chill pizza night or to open on a hot day with friends on the deck. — 9 months ago
