Classic Chianti from Laura Bianchi... smokey with ripe fruit forward. A balanced, forward Wine. Drink it now as it is at its peak.

À Chianti that I like! Yummy! — 7 years ago
Pretty nose of yellow flowers, lemon peel, lime zest, peach, apricot, and thyme with a salty tang and medium acid on a medium bodied frame, with candied orange peel and herbs on the long finish

Galerie is a collection of wines, crafted by Winemaker Laura Diaz Munoz. Wonderful aromas of citrus, tart stone fruits with honey notes. On the palate flavors of Granny Smith apple, melon and Asian pears with citrus zest wrapped in lively acidity. Lingering finish ending with mineral citrus finish. Nice! Tasting Sample. — 8 years ago

I received a selection of Catena wines following an interview with Dr. Laura Catena (to her credit, she's an amazing person and a part time ER doc). Her 2014 High Mountain Vines Cabernet displays glorious aromas of black currant, anise, mocha, exotic spice, and cedar. Medium weight, elevation has endowed this Argentine Cab with elegance and silkiness stitched against a backdrop of fine tannins and high acidity. It’s fresh and intense with a finish that flirts with saline-tipped minerality. — 9 years ago

Had another bottle, Wow! Laura Catena, 4th gen winemaker, grew up in Argentine-Italian winemaking family in Mendoza. Wines, named after her children - Luca, Dante & Nicola - background of the label is the McDermott coat of arms of her American husband, Daniel McDermott. Single-vineyard wine from land belonging to the Laborde family. Deep red with big ripe fruits & smoky oak. Palate plum & jammy blackberry, spice with nice earthy character. Tannins are a bit rustic, lingering ending with toasty oak & spice. — 7 years ago

This is a pretty cool take on non-sherry Palomino. It’s a little salty like fino but doesn’t have the flor notes obviously. — 5 years ago
