this Italien wine is divine! With initial notes of Strawberry down through a rollercoaster of four or five noticeable and distinct notes and then back with just a bit of sweetness on the back of the tongue. Afterwards a perfect lingering to enjoy…

Fruity and fizzy, a good mouthfeel, the tingle lingers. "For when you've had a hard day and don't want to think". Thanks MM — 6 months ago
Ruby red color with aromas of dark berry fruit, smoke and earthy herb spices. On the palate this Nebbiolo showed flavors of cherry and plum, with licorice and oaky pepper spice. Fine soft tannins on medium+ finish ending with smoke and earthy character. Nice value! Drink now! — 9 months ago
Paired with an aged steak tasting hosted by Anya at BelCampo. Sublime — 5 years ago
Wow. Just wow. How does this 1983 still have this much tannin? Maybe I shouldn't be so shocked, but this wine is just beautiful right now. Soft and approachable on the front, with dark fruit and tobacco and leather. But then some surprisingly strong tannins. How much longer could this 33 year old juice last?! Bravo Gaja. Absolutely splendid! Enjoyed with a SNARFs Italian sandwich. This wine is underrated and good luck finding it in Colorado… a vaccum for quality. Brought this back from Mecca in my luggage. Nice one to drink to your face on Coors 150th anniversary in Golden, CO. Enough of a rant. Thanks for reading! Another moment wasted in the company of JC, amen. — 7 months ago
Decanted for 1.5 hours first - a little rough at first but opened up - tart cherries, ripe fruit, very round and smooth but tannins have a strong grip. Great with steak! — 5 years ago

Located halfway up the hill dominating the principal valley of Barolo, supported by steep slopes lined by orderly vineyards, lies the 15th century Abbey of Annunziata. Medium Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits with earthy herb notes, aged for 12 months on oak. On the palate flavors of cherry, strawberry and raspberry with sweet vanilla spice. Fine tannins, vivid acidity, medium+ finish ending with earthy fruit character. Good value, Barolo like without $$! — 5 months ago

“Ana’s-Cëtta” is the white #Nascetta wine by @elviocogno who helped bring the variety back from near extinction in the 1990s in the commune of Novello, #Langhe, #Piedmont.
The 2022 delivers aromas of honeysuckle, white peach, verbena and Mediterranean herbs. Apple, pear, quince and pineapple flavors then come into play. This quickly followed by a waxy texture, balanced by lime zest, with notions of crushed minerals on the finish.
The winery suggests it is “ideal as an accompaniment to vegetable dishes, white meats, raw fish, oysters and creamy cheeses.” Maybe not as ideal, but paired with rigatoni, sausage and fennel allowed some contrast to expose and heighten many of the sensations…BRAVO! — 3 months ago
