Discrete nose of white fruit with pears and also a slight minty and smoke feel, very discrete. The palate is gorgeous, such balance between the perfect acidity and slight richness of fruit and elegance. Another great 2017 CDB. 90-91
Nez discret de poires et une touche de menthe et de fumée mais sans déranger. Le vin est délicieux, quel équilibre entre cette tension appuyée et cette richesse de fruit, juste parfait. Un autre beau blanc 2017. 90-91 + — 6 years ago
Great value for €34. Almond, butter, lemon, baking spices, and oak — 6 years ago
The 2nd GC White Burgundy of the day. Nose not giving much - a little closed and sadly the wine a bit cold. The palate a little more restrained and medium bodied than the Jacques Carillon. — 8 years ago
Stunning. Had this before the bottle of Brand and was blown away. So much there, the fruit, the terroir, the history. Honey, cinnamon, oranges...I loved this Chardonnay! @Maayan Koschitzky let’s make one!😊 — 8 years ago
375. Straight forward and well made. Not particularly interesting. — 11 years ago
Surprisingly buttery for a chassagne. Nice acidity to balance it. Consistent linger. Lacks the minerality I would have expected. Lemony melon on the nose. — 12 years ago

It seems as though 2016 white Burgundy is starting to be coming around, whereas the vintage was once a bit awkward and often showed disjointed. ‘Micro’ Domaine Lamy-Caillat is really making fantastic wines and being so elusive, it was great to spot on the excellent list at Daniel. A gentle decant gives it the little kick that it needs to intensify its green apple and rich yellow fruit expression along with a spice tinged, saline and smoky mineral infliction. The palate shows great concentration, density and textural richness and the full bodied opulence of the La Romanée site is cut seamlessly by its zippy citrusy acid spine. Steely finish, lemony and lots of mineral — 6 years ago
This is a YOUNG WINE. I decanted for 2-3 hours and it really benefitted. I’ve had it at 8 years and it really shines. Very enjoyable now with some air but clearly more to say in the future. — 7 years ago

Strong, excellent with meat of cheese, cherry nose, délicieuse. — 8 years ago
This was great! A little funky of nose, super mineral with gentle hints of lemon and pretty high-toned greenness. A steal for 20GBP. Look forward to bottle #2! Cardiff/hotel — 10 years ago

Peploes lockdown lot... awesome burgundian PN. — 5 years ago
Really enjoying the balance here... nose of charcoal and iron shavings, but also dark raspberry and tart cherry fruit. Firm acidity with medium tannins. Cherry and red currant. Just a touch of vanilla and clove. That taste of pulling a leather glove off with you mouth is reminiscent. Appreciable length, finishing with a red apple skin note. I have found that reds from this producer, which are not structured like those from the Cote de Nuits, are a great value play and very approachable young. — 6 years ago
