Unfortunately a faulty bottle showing Premox. Unattractive nose - Oxidative and dirty. A second bottle opened which was brilliant and one of the wines of the bracket. One would be rightly pissed off to part with $1145 AUD for the first bottle. My score here based on 2nd bottle. @Delectable this is the Batard — 7 years ago

Outshined by other fantastic burgundies in a tasting today, but good efforts. A little sulfur and matchstick on the nose, but good stone and chalk backing it up. Slightly more tropical perhaps as well. — 10 years ago
