Very nice and truly enjoyed. — 4 months ago
A gift from a friend, this is lovely, with a bit of tobacco on the nose and lively cherry and strawberry flavors on the palate. The finish goes on and on. — 5 months ago
It’s been 4 years since my last bottle of this 2016. Really softened up. Easy drinking tannins, well balanced. Dark fruit, blackberry, walnuts, baking spices, melted chocolate. Medium plus finish. Very nice. — 7 days ago
Amazing Beckstoffer Cab — 11 days ago
So, this had nice fruit but it lacked depth & character. Especially, for a 2019. Most 19 Napa Cabernets or blends have shown me more. Also, would have expected to see more integration of what is there.
On a another note, I took the top right picture of their estate Merlot on 7/11/26. This is the furthest advancement of veraison in early July of Merlot in all my yrs. Or, in July period. This is what happens when you have a very warm tail-end of winter and warm Spring. It was 95 for many days in March while it was technically still Winter. 👀 😳. I have lived in Ca a long time and have never seen 95 in mid March. Climate change is real. It is likely they pick this August 10-15. Do not recall that ever happening either. — 2 months ago
Found it! This is a light-handed Zin, and very delicious. Thanks for the recommendation! @Doug Powers @Anthony De Blasi
Listening to a little Depeche Mode!! — 4 months ago

In 375. Utterly delicious. I would likely not place this in Napa Valley if it were served blind. Very classified growth Bordeaux like. Cassis, a little herbal, gravel. So balanced and nice. On the palate, intense but with great acidity and zero heaviness. Nice to see this on a wine list (which is great here: an embarrassment of riches of well chosen wines (we’re at l’Albatross Brasserie in Cleveland)) — 23 days ago

+1 hour decant(lots of fine/cloudy sediment). A splendid still inky dark garnet with bricking. On the nose: expressive notes of dark red fruit, currants, smoked meat, tobacco leaf, scorched earth, nutmeg. Taste: silky, layered, rich wine with ripe blackberry/blueberry, earth, baking spice, chocolate, and a long minerally espresso never-ending finish. YUM!! — 4 months ago

Special name, special occasion. Love ‘12 CA Cabs and this one especially. Surreal power for age 14. Still dense fruit, good balance but still more tilt and less finesse. Maybe better in 3-5 years but shows the heft of a well made Napa Cab. — 6 months ago

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Inky in color with a reddish rim.
Fruity nose of currants, plums, cherries, light cedar, herbs, light tobacco, chocolates, metals and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, sweet raspberries, oak, spices, chocolates, dark coffee, black pepper, licorice and light herbs.
Spicy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Rich and fruit forward. Complex and entertaining. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Still very young, and needs time in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.
Good by itself or with food, like a nice piece of steak. I paired it with a delicious pizza.
A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 12% Petit Verdot and 1% Merlot. Aged for 22 months in (90% new) French oak barrels. A small production of only 900 cases.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
