A change in direction with the 2018 version of this wine: bright, fresh, floral and almost Grignolino-like. Lots of little strawberries and cherries. Took a chill nicely, and the chill pointed the acidity and brought the whole thing together. — 3 years ago

Really interesting remember having this variety when Heitz Vineyard used to produce one of the few domestic producer - but this one from Asti is really interesting (reminds me of Pineau d’Aunis from the Loire ) beautiful rose petal nice cherry candied fruit in the mouth with some grip ( it is 2018 vintage) very light color (almost rose) — 2 years ago
Pale garnet, aromas of cranberry, strawberry, cough syrup, cedar, and black cherry. Dry, high acid, medium + tannins, medium + body, palate full of woodsy and red fruit notes, a little herbaceousness. Medium + finish. Delicious served slightly cold with grilled salmon. — 4 years ago

Bright, lifted red fruits like sour cherry, raspberry, cranberry, red apple. High acid, very herbaceous. Needs fatty foods like pork, beef or lamb tartare, salumi and cheese. Chill it slightly like you would Gamay. — 4 years ago

Cranberry, strawberry, plum. Light and fruit forward. Great with a chill. “Chillable reds” are a heavily trending category in New York wine retail right now, for those in the industry. — a month ago
