Fruit filled glacier water with depth and a mineral finish. Pretty long for an ‘instappertje’ — 4 years ago
Excellent chard, beautiful golden color, fragrant pear on the nose, good full bodied follow through on the palate. Only demerit is the slightest acidic twist at the back end. But that mellows after breathing awhile. Don’t overchill — a year ago
No, great pn. Pretty slim but very strawberry fruity n full. — 4 years ago
Very Chablis-like. So reductive, probably too much in its youth but with great potential. It’s quite linear, angular, but with a long mineral driven finish. Would love to age it — 4 years ago
Awesome wine — 4 years ago
Big 18 sunshine nose. Violets, mulch and spice. Some nice sweet wood as well. But just enormous spice. Very Fruh. Palate is so elegant and full of violets and wonderful inner mouth florals. Really nice opulent texture and just floats. Let’s see what air does. After air this gets more linear and gains edge and energy. Really different now than when it was p and p. — 7 months ago
Sometimes an older bottle just hits and wow tbh is killing it? Nose is dusty bookshelves, old books, glorious spice and some faint cherry but the story is the palate. Wow. Just perfect. Sensual texture, hit of opulence, great acids and freshness, barely sweet fruit and killer length. What one wants out of an aged wine. Fantastical. — 9 months ago
From 100% Wente clones that get max hang time, large and tiny berries packed together, pale lemon with subtle aromas of citrus and stone fruits. On the palate flavors of apple, lemon and lime flavors, crisp acidity, long finish ending with rich mineral character. Perfect now! — a year ago
Lucille. Holy WOW! This is American excellence. Lemon stones and reduction xtreme. Wish I could try this in 10 yrs. Perf. — 2 years ago
The expressive nose shows ripe peach, apricot, coconut, dried white flower, roasted almond, and hint of honey. The medium to full body is richly textured with great depth of flavors echoing the nose, yet mange’s to be nimble enough. Long elegant finish.
From selected parcels from the estate vineyards at the highest elevation, This is an exuberant yet graceful chard. Super delicious. — 4 years ago
