A very interesting inadvertent experiment. I left this in a styrofoam case in my garage. It was there for almost 3 months. The garage hits 90 during the day.
Any rate the wine tastes like the wine.
Go styrofoam !!!!!
Nose is ocean breeze. Lemon flower.
Palate is mineral. Hint of gods lemon soda.

Dessert wine awesome with dark choc — 9 years ago
Love this producer. Just wish this wine wasn't so difficult to track down. My last bottle. It is a monster yet doesn't feel heavy? Go figure. Nectar of the gods. Complexity is there but probably needs time to show itself - for me, I love drinking it in youth and am already having to slap my hands to keep them of the 2014's. Highly recommended to anyone whom loves Montrachet but doesn't love the price. Except if you live in Sydney, in that case please don't buy my allocation! 😂. 95pts but would be 100/100 for enjoyment. — 9 years ago
Wow. Just classically awesome gg out of the gate.
Nose: screaming white and yellow flowers. So intense. A dusting of powdered minerals. Perfect. As this opens gods white flower perfume. Intense. Clean. Perfect.
Palate: perfection on the attack. Minerals form yellow flowers and stone fruits. Amazing density. Pulls no punches. Utterly delicious. Perfect balance.
A textbook nahe Riesling.
Honestly it’s so delicious I want to guzzle a bottle with a bag of potato chips. But it’s so good I just want to smell it’s all night.

Nose is pink grapefruit. Sweet minerals.
Palate is pink grapefruit. Gods lemon soda. Almost sweet. Delicious.
This is drinking more delicious than profound at this point. Nothing wrong with that.
As this opens just this candied river rock made from petrified grapefruit / mosel slate. Sheeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiit. So good. I fucking love Riesling.

Stunning ethereal aromatics right out of the gates. Divine cherry of the gods. Intermingled with spice. So much minerality of the stoney kind. Just ethereal and elite aromas. Airy and gorgeous. 9.5 on the aromas. Terrific, balanced and textured wine with the most low key concentration ever. Cherries are all early season and even some sour cherry. Tangy. Amazing mouthfeel. What a nose as this opens up. So juicy. Like mega juicy with such awesome purity. Firm tannins and a very long and pure finish. Really gets to all areas of the palate. As it airs I’ll be back. As classic as it gets but also has a wonderful polish to it. — 6 years ago

Gods pussy — 9 years ago
Medium-dark ruby color, smoky, meaty, subtle green bean/asparagus note, resolved tannins, rich, not heavy dark fruited flavors on the palate, long, lingering finish, excellent older Hermitage!!! (I’m SO happy the cork gods didn’t kill this one, I’ve had miserable luck over the years with the 1988-1990 triumvirate of Sorrel Greal with corked bottles!!) — a year ago

Nose has lovely cherry flower.
Fantastic. Bright blueberry and cherry fruit.
Brighter and less dark fruit than other years. No big licorice presence. Lovely texture. His most elegant wine I’ve had.
As this opens like some licorice flower on the finish. Also the nose. But way more licorice flower than the usual ugo licorice.
As it opens more Arledge at sweet licorice on the nose. Just his maximally delicious. Gods Cherry licorice. So sweet and elegant. Wow.
An hour in hitting God wine. Internal aromatics are sick. Sick sick sick. Just palate blasting with cherry flower licorice flower spices. So elegant. Pure. Jeebus.
Almost a very elegant at version of a very intense wine.
Could be much better than a 9.4 with age.

More on the delicious end of the scale on open. Very fruity tangerine. Citrus. Awesomely mineral of course. Nice acidity. Lovely nose. As it opens becoming more serious. Rocky finish. ... fast forward 15 minutes. Ok ... now it’s liable. I’m chewing on rocks in a lemon vineyard. Best lemons ever. Sweet lemons with the acidity of regular lemons. Ok that makes no sense unless you are a lemon geek. Nose is insane. Gods lemon oil. Mad love. Bought from Fass Selections. — 8 years ago

Big chewy red much like the red queen's bastard afterbirth.... what I can see in the fire is the smoky merlot characteristic as well as the Cabernet Franc singing throughout the afterlife. Big fruit form the Cabernet grapes are ever present and give the structure. Thank the old gods and new we were able to harvest the cork out of the neck! — 9 years ago
Wow, simply stunning. Fit for tables from Abruzzo to Mount Olympus: verified nectar of the Gods. Do not miss out on this! — 9 years ago

A blend of Xinomavro, Krassato and Stavroto grown on the slopes of Mount Olympus. Nectar of the gods?
Fresh, aromatic, enticing nose full of red fruit, dried herbs, flowers, with some baked clay notes and a peppery note towards the finish. Reminds me a bit of COS Cerasuolo from Sicily, but more aromatic.
On the palate this is surprisingly light - yet with loads of character! Nicely polished tannins, juicy acidity, great tension. The fruit slowly mellowing, but there’s depth here, a mineral core and a flow that is just amazing.
At ~20€ this is just unbelievable & unbeatable value. Delicious!! — 3 days ago
