Fresh red berry notes, fruit-forward quality. Rustic earthy with hints of herb. Bright, lively acidity. Refreshing and easy to sip. It was great with light pasta! — 3 months ago

Dark cherry, blackberry, firm but integrates tannin. Herbs - rosemary and thyme. Quite soft and round for a young brunello. Drinking well and delish over pizza at Anto — a month ago
Deep garnet color, high acidity and still plenty of tannins. Smell of red fruit, cedar, flint. Medium full body, some tertiary flavors mixed with red fruit, plum, pomegranate, espresso . Long finish — 2 months ago
2016 vintage at local Italian restaurant, delicious, full bodied $88 — 2 months ago
2nd time I've had this. Every wine gets a higher score at Christmas. This is a stern Barolo, uptight after 4 hours of air. Yummy, though, and pleasant to sip slowly next to the fireplace. Cherry cola, raspberries, roses, serious leathery tannins. It's a 6 year old Barolo, and that's what it tastes like.

Perhaps the most interesting & intriguing older wine/Barolo I’ve had in memory. It showed its tannin profile and fruit. Tart and just gently sweet cherries, tomato leaf, soft, almost sweet tarriness, light tobacco & leather. Group intrigue. Special.
