1 hour decant(lots chunky/fine sediment). A gorgeous inky purplish garnet color. On the nose: dark fruit, forest floor, smoked meat, floral, cigar wrapper, pencil lead. Taste: smooth, rich, creamy mouthcoating wine with blackberry/dark cherry, dark chocolate, earth, tobacco, baking spice, and a cedar/graphite medium plus finish with some slight dusty tannins. Had this 2 years ago, and it's improved. In the beginning of its drink window at 18 years? Wow — 5 months ago
Light to medium body, floral and perfume bouquet, smooth and easy to drink, ripe berry finish, light yet strong enough to pair with beef. Fantastic! — 9 days ago
Bright Ruby color with aromas of red berry fruits, sweet spice and floral notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with spice, licorice and floral notes. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, floral spice and slight earthy character. — 3 months ago
Pop and pour. A majestic pale straw color. On the nose: Intense nose of green apple, lemon curd, pear, floral, orange rind. Taste: oily, fresh wine with white peach, apple, lemon, saline, crushed rock, grapefruit. YUM! More time to go, glad to have a few more bottles. — a month ago
Nice Barolo with lots of limestone showing minerality and brightness. Still a little tight after 11 years, but it’s fantastic with a nice piece of beef. Floral on the nose with juicy choke cherry, leather, unsweetened coco, tobacco, raspberry preserves, and crushed blueberries on the palate. — 2 months ago
