This past Wednesday I opened the 2016 Hourglass III Red Blend. From Calastoga Napa, California. A blend of 48% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Petit Sirah.
On the nose there was black cherry, blackberry, pomegranate, bkack currant, chocolate and vanilla.
On the palate there was black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, mocha, spice, cassis, clove and forest floor
This wine is medium to full bodied with a velvety smooth mouthfeel medium+ acidity medium+ smooth round tannins that move wonderfully into a long black fruit dark soil finish. This was enjoyed with close life long friends and everyone commented how they enjoyed it. Have a great week ahead and please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 10 months ago
