Very intense, expressive and pretty nose. It keeps showing well on the palate with a nice long finish. Big wine for the vintage. — 7 days ago

Dense, stony and intense. Lacking fruit — 7 days ago
This was drinking well at 49 yrs showing structure & finesse with a silky & polished texture that is still youthful with black fruit, cassis, graphite, menthol, glycerin note & tobacco. — a month ago
The powerful and dense l’Evangile 2015 is according to some experts the last vintage of the classic style of the chateau. I have no experience with more recent vintages, all I can determine is this wine is wonderful. Fairly fragrant. The palate is voluptuous with a creaminess and melted tannins. Ripe fruits, baking spices, black truffle, olives, peppercorns, rock salt, sweet tobacco, noble wood, chocolate, roasted coffee beans. So opulent and so delicious. — 2 months ago
Deep gold in color. Lower acidity than expected. Lots of white stone fruit and sweetness with some biscuit on the palette. Great complement to Brie. For the vintage and the producer a little underwhelming. — 8 days ago
Yum! Elegance and precision. Lacking depth on the mid palate but then it comes back with its evident classy personality. — 7 days ago
Nice orange peel touch. Lacking a bit on the mid palate. Then wafting back on the aftertaste — 5 days ago

La finesse. Et puis, la puissance. 96-97+ — 7 days ago
Dark ruby hue. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, cassis, leather, plum. Plus body, full tannins, plus acid. Balanced, bold, and refined, with a long finish. Definitely worth pairing with hearty food. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot. — 15 days ago
Massive monster of a wine that will obviously polarise. The type of wine that you drink while being fed grapes and fanned with a giant palm leaf. Opulent and luxurious with blackberry, brambles and tar. Its going to be too much for a lot of people but if you like your wines full of flavour then this is for you! — a month ago
Beautiful pure nose. Lacking mid palate deepness at this stage but overall nice and well balanced and integrated. Closing a bit harsh but this will improve with time. — 7 days ago
My first HB. Some of the other tasters thought this wasn’t showing its best but without the past context of other ‘86 HBs I thought it was very good. — 5 months ago
Nicely open. Fruity and lean. Fresh and classy. — 5 days ago
Thick and layered. Power machine with a subtle feminine touch of the aromatics. Finish very long and charming aftertaste. — 6 days ago
Piacevole artigianalita. Naturally expressive. Quite untouched fruit. Finish a bit harsh. May improve. — 7 days ago
Can’t tell if not in a great spot or maybe some slight heat damage—but leaning to the latter. Tasty, but not as good as it should have been — a month ago
Intense. Closing a bit “technical” for my taste. Will improve. 95+ — 7 days ago
2020 vintage. Big, darkly-fruited nose that rolls over to the flavors. Medium body. Great complexity for initial and mid-palates, Finish is where things drop off a cliff. Solid banger for the price. If only some of that impressive, frontal assault could be transferred to the back end, we'd be in clover. Nice, first-time BDX to get the palate rolling/draw people in tho. 3.15.24. — a month ago
