Lovely terrier driven mineral nose with hints a hazelnut laced with lemon peel and Fuji apple fruit. Palate is missing a touch of intensity but mineral and citrus flavors. Thoroughly enjoyable but seeking a bit more complexity. — 7 years ago
Lime, Fuji apple and crushed stone. Finish is steely with great citrus flavors and acid. Lovely. — 8 years ago
Initially a big, rich nose with creamy oak, Fuji apple and lemon curd. With air it gets more focused with a floral top note. Palate is broad rich with ripe fruit driven by the vintage. Peach, apple and lemon rind flavors. Has a good touch of elegance on the finish. Should develop over the short term. — 8 years ago
Smooth and soft on the introduction followed by Fuji apple and Asian pears with a moderately acidic finish. I also get a quick zest of lemon or lime with some slate and mineral characteristics. — 9 years ago
Pale straw gold with silver highlights. Somewhat shy nose of underripe Fuji apple and Asian pear. Firm acidity leads the smoky/flinty light-bodied palate of underripe pome fruit and citrus rind. Remarkably long (8-9 secs) palate cleansing finish. Merciful saints! This is the entry level wine from the Dagueneau portfolio and it makes you want to go higher! Food is, of course, its friend, but if you’re into “sipping culture” this will work for you as well. Seafood (cooked or sushi) is a particularly fine pair, naturally. Drink now through 2027. — 4 years ago

2nd bottle for Glorious Mt Fuji and they make some of the most sublime sake. This is also nama sake with slight sparkling, melon taste and finishes with a lychee backend. Shooting Star just delicious paired with steamed egg — 7 years ago

Restaurant tasting notes: Yamagata / Delicate notes of green apple on the nose; soft and melting on the palate; notes of green apple and candied sugar; finishes with a delicate acidity — 6 years ago
Amazing aroma. Flavors of creamy Fuji apple and guava. Excellent — 8 years ago
Good value classic, bright Fuji apples little weighty — 9 years ago
1990. Honeyed almonds, Fuji Apple, quince. Still quite balanced and bright. Truly amazing example of how California fruit can be made in old-world, age-worthy style. (Vinted by S. Bedford) — 9 years ago
