Wow. Love this Sardinian. The front is big and salty. My favorite with big flavored food. I have not decided on the end yet. This went down with an awesome grilled pork loin seasoned in prunes and Dijon mustard. Side was a very flavorful split pea and onion mash. — 11 years ago

Color of concentrated black tea. Nose is high quality bourbon with sweet apple, mesmerizing aldehyde, paint, powerful alcohol and spice in nasal cavity. Taste is extremely smooth, with toffee like sweetness wrapping the tongue, zest, sweet apple, and a bit salty mineral. Aftertaste has even more toffee sweetness, a bit heat. Mahogany color with molasses, caramel, espresso, bittersweet chocolate and subtle baking spice aromas. On the palate it's full bodied, viscous, and very persistent with a supple mouth feel that's beautifully balanced with a penetrating acidity that keep it from being cloying and persistent with very good acidity that keeps it from being cloying and provides balance. It shows very sweet flavors of molasses, honey-dipped figs, dates, caramel, and baking spice nuanced citrus note with a kiss of oxidation that adds to its allure and complexity.
