Medium lemon colour. On the nose this is quite mineral and expressive at first , taught lemon peel and some oyster shell , touch herbal , orange . With time this becomes more fruit driven , with lots of ripe citrus . Quite rich and ample on the palate with lemon richness and some grapefruit , with a touch of butter , just a touch of chalk dust to balance , creamy mouthfeel. Balanced but not particularly fresh acidity . Good length , quite rounded and generous in style . Still quite young but drinking well from now and over the next 5 or so years . — 2 months ago

Very solid Loire Sauvignon Blanc. Steep Hill Importer-I like their portfolio as seems to emphasize true to type varietals. Nothing flashy, just good ol fashioned terroir. — 5 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of three days. Consistent throughout. The 2021 “Grange le Duc” pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous notes of ripe strawberry, Montmorency cherry, salmiakki, freshly ground black pepper, dried green herbs, salt water taffy, and sous bois. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+. This is a classic, rustic expression of Burgundy that simply blows my mind. The nose alone, slays. Drink now through 2031. — a day ago
