Weird at first -some residual volatil compounds, but then settled very nicely. Elegant, nice structure. Lovely overall — 6 years ago

Nice citrus and acidity. Age has given some good mature flavors. — 12 years ago
My favorite Macon Chard. This wine drinks so much higher than its cost. Green apple, lemon curd, used oak, acidic, full bodied. Excellent with cheese, cream sauce. Love to pair it with an Alfredo Chicken pizza. — 8 months ago
Pop and pour, notes from 45 min open. Lovely, and my best bottle..also my last '12. On the nose: lemon, soft ginger, a touch of honey, some sour apple. On the palate: excellent acidity and density, mirroring the nose. Paired with baked whole branzino, stuffed with onions and herbs...yum. — 5 years ago
$25 @ Domestique. — 6 years ago
Amazing. It's fruity, but I've felt only a sweet, ripe plum. But the best is the rest: spicy aromas with leather and smoke like from smokehouse. I simply love it! — 7 years ago
Wanted to drink this after listening to Dominique’s IDTT interview. Found the best nationally priced bottle in Pasadena and it showed really nicely, particularly after being open for something like 4 hours. I like his winemaking approach here, which doesn’t seem to be about elevating it beyond its provenance. It’s a delicious, mineral wine that would crush with shellfish and was lovely in the afternoon along with The Trip to Spain. — 9 years ago
Quiet the beast for Volnay. Ripe and rich. Hefty oak treatment. — 10 years ago

Was 30 bucks but solid Bordeaux. — 12 years ago
This is not hitting. It seems a bit unbalanced and acidic and medium finish. Definitely not worth the price. #beaune #premiercru #dominquelafon #lafon — 8 months ago

Got my first shot of the Biontech/Pfizer vaccine today, time to celebrate. After recently trying the surprisingly good 2007 I have turned to the 2008. JS rated this 100 points and others have it 98+. For me it’s not quite there yet, but it might get there in a few more years or who knows in a few hours after this gets more air. This is such a typical Comtes, such an unmistakable character that lets the Chardonnay shine. The balance of citrus and fruit flavors is amazing and lingers in the mouth forever. Definitely one of the greatest years for the Comtes, perhaps indeed the best yet. I look forward to storing the remaining bottles for a few more years. — 5 years ago
Pale color. Lemon zest nose. Meyer lemon, lemon cream, and dusty minerality. This is a good wine. — 8 years ago

Wonderful brick colour, molasses, cassis, leather, cedar — 11 years ago
At 1st matchstick and citrus opening into burnt orange, honey, hazelnut, butter cream, has a slightly oily texture, tangerine, lingering nose, very complex and rich. Absolutely a stunner! — 11 years ago
Excellent, paired with dark chocolate truffles and manchego cheese. Full and round but still smooth — 12 years ago
Amazing white burgundy. Pure fruit with a touch if funk. Great acidity and length. Yum! — 12 years ago

Beautiful, quintessential nose! Silky and balanced from start to finish. Not trying to be too bold but it doesn’t disappear either. Truly enjoyable Bordeaux and I would absolutely buy it again — 8 months ago
