Excitement in a glass… deep ruby color with explosive tones of cranberry, strawberry, and Red delicious apple. Smooth, balanced with hints of baking spices, cinnamon, and clove. Perfect foil for Eric Ripert’s tasting menu at Blue on Grand Cayman. Capable of giving Selosse a run for the money. — 3 months ago
Killer Macon Chardonnay. Tart green apple, wet rock, hint of lemon zest, used oak? Have had several bottles already. Will age well but can’t keep my hands off of it. Crisp acidity. Way over delivers for a Macon Chard. — 4 months ago

When Lafon is on they’re as good as any name in white burgundy. 2012 Genevrieres is an absolute banger, seamlessly balanced between richness and elegance and perfectly developed wafting waves of defined fruit, pastry cream, butterscotch and toasted almonds within its layered minerality. It wraps around the palate with incredible texture, concentration and density with a massively long, silky finish. Crazy good. — 2 months ago

More advanced than the last bottle, initially I thought too advanced… but credit to the Somm at The Modern for talking me off the metaphorical ledge. Developed nicely in glass, more honey than creaminess. Wouldn’t give bottles any more time. — 4 months ago
Despite being ‚just‘ a Bourgogne this is excellent although at 43$ not cheap for a Bourgogne. No formal notes but trust me this is excellent. It’s a 1er Cru level wine at a very reasonable price point. Grapes are from Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Whole cluster pressed. So the wine is complex. Great texture! — 5 months ago
Always a classic. Still a (relative) value. Balance, structure, texture, tension, integration and length. Just great winemaking. Benchmark Chard. — 8 months ago
