Not for the timid if an in-your-face Cab Franc is one’s introduction to the varietal. That said, a few put away in the cellar will bring much joy down the road. At the moment the wine is defined by dark berries, orange peel, green pepper and yes, even herbes de Provence. Crazy, I know. While a Fleurie and Limniona will bookend tomorrow’s Thanksgiving meal, a sneak pour of this Cab Franc is all but guaranteed. Can’t wait! 🦃🇺🇸🦃 — 5 months ago

black pepper blossoms. mind you, I’ve never smelled a peppercorn blossom but I swear that that is what I’m smelling. everyone else picked up on bell pepper- straight peppercorn to me. From the Chaume hillside, 1 of 2 red wines grown on Chaume. — 2 months ago
