The best rose! — 7 days ago
There are very few moments in my time that have had a greater call for Champagne than when I opened this, on June 3rd 2025. My football team here in the UK, Oldham Athletic, promoted for the first time in my life, which I watched at Wembley. I know this seems quite trivial and meaningless to most of you, but I must document it here, so please indulge me. Up the Latics!
As for the wine, this was a hasty cellar pull and I didn’t want anything OTT. But isn’t Taittinger fantastic? For me, one of the best Grandes Marques pound-for-pound. This bottle had a bit of age too. Really superb, drinkable stuff. — 23 days ago
Delicious. Nose of dark fruit and pepper. Cassis, strawberries, low tannin — 23 days ago
Crystal coloration, with hints of yellow colored deep within. Nose is actually prominent, with notes of tart stonefuit, specifically peach, African cucumber, and sharp acidity despite the age. Palate doesn’t show any age or loss of acidic zing! Fresh and dry, with a long tingle that lasts long after the sip. Bought on our honeymoon, tasted and purchased on site, and popped to celebrate the birth of our first child. — a month ago
Has a little brown toast note that is distinctive. Overall very nice and worthy of a graduation celebration. — 23 days ago
Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus, toasty vanilla and baking spice scents. On the palate complex flavors of apple, peach & lemon citrus, well balanced with acidity on nice mouthfeel. Long finish ending with toasty mineral and spice notes, will continue to age well. A nice Chardonnay. Pair this with a Halibut! — 2 months ago
