Had the 2005 at appetite for Kenlee’s bday; fruity + leather + chocolate + oak. — 3 years ago
Very well balanced, not too sweet, not too alcoholic, and really lets the red wine and tannins shine through. — 5 years ago
Pear and apple skin with a hint of green herbs. Juicy with a touch of viscosity to the pear and apple fruit. Subtle and cleansing minerality on the finish. — 6 years ago
Easy, fragrant, great value — 7 years ago
Really excellent. Intense yet smooth, the age shows but only in a refined way. Finish goes on forever. Like really good old Bordeaux. — 8 years ago
Light, dry and joyfully effervescent. More yellow colored than average. This Vinho Verde is almost dry Riesling like on its initial attack. Soft petroleum, racy acidity, and driven by its minerality, citrus blossoms, and crisp green apple notes. The finish is clean and packed with Asian pears. — 8 years ago

Didn’t even know Portugal had wine this amazing. Stellar rival to any great burgundy, at a fraction of the cost. — a year ago

Smooth and sweet, toffee — a year ago
2016 vintage. Dirk Niepoort's answer to Burgundy and it actually has a Pinot Noir like colour and mouthfeel. This is a very unusual Douro from very old vines. Delicate nose with sour cherries , pomegranate and flowers. It is all about finesse and subtlety. Very long. Delicious and expensive (80 euros), but if you see the prices of Portuguese high end wines these days it almost seems a bargain. — a year ago
Color is a mix of purple and burgundy, a bit cloudy. Nose of dried strawberry, spicy note, currants, and carbonates grape juice. Taste is smooth and follows the nose with addition of zest, decent acidity, and tiny hint of mineral. Some more blackberry. And some more black pepper. Aftertaste of some more warmth from black peppers. Clean and warm, and above average. — 3 years ago
Nice aroma, good complexity, Torriga national balanced oak. Cedar, tobacco and touch of spice. Very nice. — 4 years ago
Quite lovely on our first night in Portugal for the wife’s birthday! Scored 2 points higher due to the sleeping gentleman in the picture :) #firstfamilyvacation — 6 years ago
Super structured, elegant, herby big red. Definitely needed decanting, but we were so eager that it all got drained in one night! — 6 years ago
Wow. $8. This is a fairly decent Douro and a steal at < $15 let alone <$10. Med-full with good length and med tannins. — 7 years ago
Light, fruity, refreshing. — 8 years ago

Light, crisp and refreshing with a small amount of effervescence. Drink cold. The effervescence disappears the warmer the wine gets. — 9 months ago
