A portrait in elegance. Initially the nose is shy, but unfurls into a full range of lemon, from underripe to meyer lemon; yellow flowers, lilies etc, a slight amount of flint minerality, lemon custard, hint of fresh almond. On the palate reminiscent of a delicious lemon custard accented with a touch of vanilla, fresh acidity, great texture, good length. What a great wine. wine for a reason. This is in my fridge and now I gotta open it tonight. Great note.

I couldn’t describe this wine any better than @Will Stanley. Lemon + touch of pomelo, wet oyster shell and a touch of flintiness. Invigorating acidity, slight smokiness carries through on the palate and that tartness offsets the considerable body on this #santorini #assyrtiko. — a month ago
