CV pre dinner tasting. Color lighter than Gavi but nose shows oxidative notes melon ripe fruits. Softer texture roundness on palate. Long grippy finish that’s unexpected. Two more bottles to try. CV second bottle, less oxidative and fresher nose and palate. Upping to 9 — 9 months ago
Open knit. Juicy blackberry, cherry and plum fruit, accompanied by floral violets. Impressive for the buck. — 5 months ago
I am generally not a huge fan of Champagne unless it is exceptional which this is. I have always enjoyed the Blanc de Noirs style as well. Mid copper in colour. Plenty of chalky minerality on nose and palate. Fine mousse- small persistent bubbles - 72 months on lees. 100% Pinot Noir. Also aromatics of citrus and mouldy apple. The next night just as good with fewer bubbles. Much cheaper than Krug’s Clos d’Ambonnay for a similar experience I would imagine although I haven’t shelled out the considerable dosh for one of the Krug’s. — 6 months ago

Deep ruby opaque, full body, blackberries and blueberries, herbs, jammy and mature — 7 months ago
2022 vintage. Less tied down to the traditional Meursault stylings and just going for it. Light-medium body. Moments of beauty. Moments of leanness and linear qualities. Lemon curd and (subdued) tangerine two driving forces in the flavor profile. Plenty of acidity without tippling/tipping over the edge. 10.8.25. — 8 months ago
Light, tingly, perfectly paired with spaghetti and meatballs — 8 months ago
Spicy, light, fresh yet with quite some character. Fresh red fruit (strawberries & cherries) with a spice undercore.
On the palate this is light yet with presence and a nice tannic frame. I wasn’t expecting this fragility, but it’s really nice. And despite the lightness this has presence and character.
