[Tasted on January 6, 2024 at etc. in Nashville]
Purchased during visit to the winery in October 2017. 2014 was a warm vintage in Willamette Valley. Le Pre du Col vineyard is located in Ribbon Ridge AVA. Red plum, cherry and blueberry fruit, with forest floor, spice and cedar notes. — 3 months ago
Deep ruby color.
Aromas of black cherry, stewed tomato, oak spice.

Needs _a lot_ of time to open up.
Shy, dark fruit on the nose, with tomato leaf, some leather/roast notes, a hint of balsmaico and undergrowth. Plus a flower, uplifting high note above it all. Savoury, mineral, quite fresh.
So juicy on the palate, with spicy, firm yet juicy tannins and zippy acidity. Neither heavy nor jammy - so fresh, juicy, savoury. Such depth & purity.
Absolutely lovely and so young. Don’t open for the next few years. — 13 days ago

Sarebbe Vale in Hawaii. L'ho trovato al supermercato in Pahoa. Veramente e' dificile trovare le botteglia decente in Hawaii isola. Questo e' il nostro favarito con reasonable prezzo. Lo consiglio se ti piaccino old Mundo. — 5 months ago
‘14 marked the 20th vintage for this joint venture between Antinori and Ch. Ste. Michelle (which is one of the more underrated producers in the US IMO).
Elegant bouquet of black currant, blueberry, cedar, nutmeg, dried leaves, and subtle black pepper. The palate is rich and deep yet lively. Beautiful round acidity. Supple tannins. Light mineral notes on the lingering finish. — 10 months ago

Hot nose, big floral, fat berry, tar, chocolate. Medium dry tannins, lots of oak, takes away a bit from the fruit. Tight. Needs to breathe. I’ll wait to score. After two hours it’s put on weight. Fruit came out and tannins became well integrated. I’d have given it a 87-88 on opening but now it’s a solid 92. — 3 days ago
