Smoky, charcoal, granite, meat, bacon, black pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, violets, black olives, red cherries, blueberries, blackberries. Medium plus acid, medium body, medium plus finish, medium tannin. Silky tannins from age, good fruit and acidity still, elegant and high-toned. — 7 years ago

Wow. This is a different cab for me, but it’s just fun to drink. Let me try. The nose is floral and spices. I taste cherry licorice, blueberries, baking spices and charcoal. Quick hit of dusty tannins, but not prominent. Finish goes a long time with integrated big smile. 😀 — 8 years ago
The Caymus of the Central Coast. Inky with massively extracted red and black fruit, and in a mode not unlike pie filling. Not to be denied, it's loaded with vanilla, baking spice, fig, and a few drops of root beer extract. The aura of charcoal and new leather weave throughout, all with an edge of tilled earth. Translating this from taste and smell to sight and sound, this is walking into a brand new casino. — 8 years ago

Blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, with a hint of green bell pepper, charcoal, flint, mushrooms, black cherry mocha bar, beautiful minerals, moist dark earth, pepper, green pepper, slight touch of Grand Marnier, black olive, dry pebbles, stems, nice acidity and lush, rich, elegant dark fruit finish. Out of magnum. — 9 years ago
After a two hour decant this wine nicely expressed all that it had to offer! Complex and inviting on the nose, it's remarkable how long the wine stays on your palette. Charcoal, tar, with a spritz of black cherry characterizes my first impression, surrounded by a subtle oak note and a rich tannic structure. If you have an abundance of patience you should cellar this wine, and if not pop the cork now!!! — 9 years ago
16.5/20 (90/100) Аромат вишневого варенья, бальзамика и ванили. Остаточный сахар отлично балансируется высоким уровнем кислотности. Приятное во вкусе. Занятное вино. — 7 years ago
Strong taste of peach which makes me salivate for impeachment. Perfect topper to a great news day. I can’t rank anything less than a perfect ten at this moment. — 7 years ago
Lovely nose of violets, cranberry, red currant, mocha, petrichor, and charcoal. The pallet is muted comparatively, but enjoyable. — 8 years ago
Rich and structured. Great balance, velvet tannins still have some grip, black cherry, wet soil, charcoal flavors aromas. Alcohol nicely integrated, great wine for stews, grilled meats. Had the 2012 in 2017, nice now but can age many more years as well. — 8 years ago
Nice color of shades of purple, a bit hazy, and a bit bloody red. Nose of nice leather, sweet oak, dried strawberry, sugar plum, and cherry. Taste is warm, leathery, cranberries, zesty, dried strawberries, and a tiny bit of hickory note. Aftertaste is smooth, basically no tannins, a bit zesty, a bit oaky, and medium long. She is lighter compared to usual Shiraz from Aussie. Overall, she is a tasty wine and enjoy her now. — 9 years ago

Heavy aromas of tar, charcoal, smokey meat and vanilla. Decanting helped soften and bring out some bright cherry. Mid palate shows plush black fruit and chocolate. The finish is more black olive than I care for, but hoping that softens as it gets air. One of the most interesting wines I’ve had in a while. — 6 years ago
