2006: served blind. Thought this was mature right bank Bordeaux. Really intriguing! Funky and rich: Pommard the brutalist! — 11 days ago

About every quarter or so i get to try a wine which just strikes me like thunder - this is such a wine. This one has a story (I met Pacalet in Encinitas - a total introvert but genius and bought 6 bottles). Earth, autumn leaves, iron, hint cherry, tannins fully resolved. Tamarind? Touch tumeric. A wine at its peak. 🍑 Peach!!! Heaven on earth what a wine! — 4 months ago
Getting to the last bottle of this set of 2007s. Holding up great and still a 9.3 for me. The tannins were always more pronounced in this wine and likely why it held up so well through the years - probably has 10 more years in it. — 16 days ago

Classic Pommard. Whole bunch fermentation. Very elegant. Cherry, mint, a little cinnamon, long finish. At it’s peak. — 16 days ago
