I’m between a 92-93 here. Rounding up due to potential.
A producer I’ve had a few times over the years that for some reason I didn’t explore, even though I always quite enjoyed them (chards and Pinots alike). I picked up a few random bottles from the winery to explore more, and was told to start with the offering as it’s easily accessible.
Down the middle style when it comes to Cali chard. Coastal (bright, sea spray, crystalline), but ripe (beautiful juicy orchard fruits). In the background there is a sweet lemon flair. Aromatics and palate match up, though it had some flinty reduction notes to blow off when opening. Profile wise, I’d say this is more soft and rounded than Ceritas, but not as powerful or bold as Aubert/Marcassin. — 3 years ago

Bright shiny new SB from the crew at Ceritas. Nice acid/fruit balance, low ABV, medium-weight…plenty of citrus, straw, and unripe melon and a long, almost reductive finish. Very tart lemon notes, but marvelous with home baked Sockeye and local yellow string beans. Very young… I think the wine will settle-down a bit with age and pick-up a bit more “gravitas”. Glad to have a half dozen to experiment with over the next few months of local MI summer produce. — 3 years ago
Okay... probably a year past it’s drinking prime, but still fun and full of pleasure. I love these wines when they’re young and vibrant...my third favorite domestic rose behind L’Aventure and Ceritas. This one got lost but still gotta appreciate its cut at 5 years out! Not much fruit left, but nice savory funk notes. — 4 years ago
