DRC Night at Secrets Moxché in Cancun. Held up better well. Color is pale garnet, brickish. Notes of old church, library, dried roses, medium body, acidity still vibrant. Long finish. Past its peak, possibly, but extremely intelectual wine. — 8 hours ago

Médium straw colour . This has some development on the nose with bruised apple , pear , blanched almonds , herbal touches and some chalky mineral character as well. On the palate , quite lean but fills out enough with chalky mineral notes , ripe apple , pear and lightly honied citrus and a lightly creamy mouthfeel , decent length finish with good balance and freshness . This is at end of peak now and won’t improve further , but is still showing well . Drink now. — 19 hours ago
WSET3 London. Outstanding wine. — a month ago
DRC Night at Secrets Moxché in Cancun. Held up better than most aged burgs I’ve had. Color is pale garnet, brickish. Notes of old church, library, dried red berries, medium body, acidity still vibrant. Long finish. Past its peak, possibly, but extremely intelectual wind. — 8 hours ago
Quite a deep colour , deep garnet , with a medium wide garnet rim . Needs time to open , quite discreet but quite deep and dark on the nose , with some blackberry tinged , liquorice , dark cherry , earthy sous bois . This opens up after a while to show more floral influences, lighter , redder fruits . On the palate this is quite dense , with a blackberry , dark cherry hint , earthy , mineral with quite grippy tannins . Good volume and density . Balanced acidity and earthy , mineral tinged finish. This needs time and improved quite a lot with air but really needs a few more years in the cellar , maybe come back in 5 years and will last well at least another 10. Promising . — 24 days ago
