Dried cherries, Italian style. — 9 years ago
It confirms the main characters of the previous vintage. Black pepper in the end, alcohol and acidity very well balanced — 10 years ago
Bordeaux wine dinner; 6/18/15: Pichon Lalande 1990 - Lighter color than others, I think passing its prime. A little dry on the finish but perfectly nice still. Gruaud Larose 1989 - Very classic nose and palate of cedar and pine notes. Most silky palate of the bunch. Two at the table thought it was wine of the night. Not as much to my taste but very much classy Gruaud. Cos 1986 - Funky barnyard nose. Deep palate with still strong tannin, but plenty of fruit coming through. Liked it but there was some brett there that to me, hurt. Lynch Bages 1985 - For me, the wine of the night, largely due to the truly stunning nose. A tad dry on the palate but still long finish of dark fruit. — 11 years ago
Our Christmas dinner wine. Love everything about this wine. Excellent tannins. Soft, structured. Maybe slightly young still. But a rare find. — 11 years ago

I opened this same bottle in 2011 and was not impressed due to the strong tannins. 2 years later, this bottle has evolved! The berries are very prominent at the onset and the finish lingers at the back pallate. Loving this wine now! — 13 years ago
Having a cold while on tour really stinks! — 13 years ago
Rather liked this one. Drake it at the bar at the Wine Steward and brought a bottle home. — 8 years ago
Really enjoy the Cab! Really pretty wine, very easy to drink, bright fruit, mild tannins. — 8 years ago
Way too young. Couldn't enjoy the wine much due to not enough breathing time. Will wait for another 20 years. — 10 years ago
Bottled May 30, 2014. A little bit of added weight due to the aging. Really nice. — 10 years ago
Really enjoyed this- needed a gentle decant, due to quite a bit of sediment, but I was rewarded with dusty leather, sautéed mushrooms, rich earthiness, and a touch of bramble. As it opened, I got a bit more ripe plum, dried dark cherry and some cedar. The low alcohol (13.3%) and noticeable acid made this well integrated wine, a great food wine. I had it with sautéed shallots, green beans, and a filet in brandy peppercorn cream sauce. Very enjoyable! — 10 years ago
Very rich tasting wine for summer - best enjoyed with some BBQ. Reminds me of Argentinian wines. Dark berry aroma. Cherry, dark berry taste with some oak finish. — 11 years ago

50% Sangiovese, 50% Schioppettino. 100% Delicious — 9 years ago
Lush black fruit flavors accompanied by lavender spice in the bouquet. This one sneaks up on you with the 15% abv. A modern take on the pleasures of drinking wines from the Cotes due Rhone. — 10 years ago
Tasted from a 3 Liter/Double Mag. This wine is a big Yquem. The fruit flavors I get are honey melon, peach and pineapples. The botrytis is massive in this wine. I even prefer this wine to the 83, 86 and 89. However, due to the rains in 82, there is not much to go around. Harvest began on September 16 and ended on the 25. Five weeks of rain follow. They will waited until November 7 to make a final pass. — 10 years ago
Carmignano classico, sangiovese, i due cabernet e merlot. Grande morbidezza e equilibrio, tannini gustosi e facili da bere, bei terziari che spostano in alto la complessità. Il Carmignano spesso resta in disparte ma merita veramente tanto. — 11 years ago
This wine is a riper Albariño, with dominant flavors of melon and stone fruits. However, it still demonstrates lemony acidity and salty minerality. It's crisp, yet has a more substantial mouthfeel due to a small percentage of the wine being fermented in French barrels and aged on lees. It's the duality of warmer climate/citrus fruits and crispness/mouthfeel that make this wine interesting. ¡Feliz día de Albariño! (only $14-$18/bottle, widely distributed). — 11 years ago
Dark fruits, some sweetness balanced by soft tannins. Delicious on its own or with food!! — 11 years ago
Spicy and fruity, really delicious to drink on it's own. Near minerality due to shale in soil. — 11 years ago
'Two vines' a fantastic blend of Sangiovese & Nero d'Avola — 12 years ago

I had better experiences with previous vintages which all hit 90+ scorings for me. Nevertheless I really like this wine for its sweetness, mouthfilling fruit and elegance. — 8 years ago
