Every vintage is good, this one slightly less than last year, but love it either way!! — 2 months ago

Crivelli

Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato 2021

Why Rouche (Rouchet) is not more popular is a mystery to me. Gorgeous extroverted nose of purple florals, mountain berries, and crushed stone. Round, fruity, and full flavored, it’s got some soft tannin framing the deep fruit. Complexity isn’t its thing, but it delivers on character. — 7 months ago

Montalbera

La Tradizione Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato Ruche 2015

Surprisingly good on the first night. I had Montalbera a few times 8-10 years ago, and wasn’t impressed. This was not bad but faded quickly. — 8 months ago

Ferraris Agricola

Clasic Ruche Di Castagnole Monferrato 2020

BTG; no formal notes. Dark, rustic, and funky fresh! Good structure. This paired really well with mushroom risotto. — 5 months ago

Cantina Sociale Cooperativa Di Gattinara

Vino Rosso 2019

60% Nebbiolo, 30% barbera, 5% uva rara, 5% Vespolina. Light, low in alcohol, fresh and fruity. Really a joy to quaf. Would be great summer red. Having it with two Berkshire pork chops braised in wine and Marsala. — a year ago
