New Year’s Eve courtesy the Higgins. Decanted a couple of hours, but still so young. Very promising! — 5 years ago
Hands down, my favorite Marlborough Sauvignon. Grassy, sassy, and a big “fuck you” to the establishment. This wine packs a brash punch but throws in enough sweet caramel to put the masses at ease. Total Wine, buy again to celebrate those moments that the younger generation decides enough is enough. — 6 years ago
@Brash Higgins our prays have been answered. Thank you Brad for the second chance.
Such a great wine, exactly what we expected from HQ. — 7 years ago
This Brash Higgins stuff's pretty delicious. Different definitely. Savoury, deep fruited wines. A touch of VA coming through in this Shiraz, but it only adds complexity here. Fruit cake, plum, indian spices, meat, earth.
Note: Vinification that would draw out some frowns. Freaking 6 months on skin, letting some flor form on the surface post-ferment. I'm sure it's gnarly on it's way to the finish product, but it didn't turn out too bad. Probably a good dose of sulphur to clean it up? Or some skimming off the surface wine. Nevertheless, I liked it. — 7 years ago
Young and brash. A big dude with a soft heart. Give it some time. Find it in 2028. — 4 years ago
Big, but not brash. Untypical of pinot, but that’s what we enjoyed about this.
Ripe nose filled with smoke, charcoal and dense stone fruits. Extracted palate is almost flamboyant. Mid-palate displays sweet herbs and complex wood treatment. Finishes with cloves, and oddly, lavender. We love idiosyncratic juice like this. — 4 years ago
Still young and brash but drinking nicely after opening. Maybe tobacco. Dry as the Sahara, in a good way — 6 years ago
Sweet raspberry, leather, baking spices. I like this bouquet.
Very fruit forward. Honestly, wait for it... watermelon. This is straight up jammy, picnic wine.
Unreserved, brash, jammy. Bae got this for me for my burrday. It’s not amazing, but it’s hella drinkable. Shh, don’t tel her I said that, though. — 4 years ago
This has a full body and nose. Nose of tropical fruits, pineapple, Meyer lemon, maybe a bit of fresh peeled almond too. You can almost smell the acidity, which coats the palate (not in a brash way). There’s a creaminess that sits on the tongue. There’s a bit of honey as well. The acidity mellows with time in the glass. — 6 years ago
Serious wiggling in my nether regions. Deep, robust, yet carrying a freshness that I don’t often correlate with Aussie wines. I admit complete dismissal of their wine and this is the perfect smack in the face. Humility is a good thing sometimes. Deep hue, bursting with ripe and slightly baked black berry, plum fruit. Espresso, bitter cocoa, wood smoke, baked leather, cool herbs, spice, game, warmth earth. Savory and fruit perfectly mingle about, tannins are ripe, soft, yet giving enough foundation and posture to carry all that richness it has. Hides its alc very well. Great wine that is hitting all the right buttons with BBQ. Omensetter Vineyard. — 6 years ago
A lot prettier than expected. Crushed pad Thai with it. — 6 years ago
Really cool wine. Rich yet savvoury and really fresh. It would be wine of the night if it wasn't for the Soldera 😂 — 7 years ago
Tannic with nice fruit notes, not big and brash but not muted or boring. Paired well with a meat heavy dinner, and rich dessert. — 7 years ago

Superb and dependable year in, year out. I’ve always got time to drink Brad’s gear. — 4 years ago
