This 2000 vintage was glorious. It’s ready. Dark fruit wonderful aroma. Layers of flavor. Seemed to change sip by sip. A truly extraordinary wine.

2000, over the hill. But pretty nose; licorice (?!) up front then red berries and a little stone fruit. Opened up after 1/2 hr, quite pleasant. Shoulda had it 6-8 yrs ago.

2000 Beaux Freres-good nose of forest earth. In the entry there is dark cherry fruits, mid palate a little hot (14.5% alcohol). Aftertaste tannic and hot. Strong point is nose and entry.
