A new grape for me (bovale), from Sardinia. Heavy on the nose, distinct peppery note and ripe. Better when open 45 minutes. With Sly in London. — 2 years ago
Texture, volcanism, fig, salty smoke. Juniper & spice. Holy cow. The real deal. Great QPR — 3 years ago
After tasting the whole range from Argiolas you also realise how they got to this blend.
This is stunning, it absorbed 18 months of new oak easy.
Cannonau gives the freshness and the fruit with the carignan, the bovale donates the tannin and the floral shade and Malvasia Nera the aromatic.
Super velvety, fresh, complex and above all long.
It goes without saying this is only a baby. — 22 days ago
This Bobal kind of reminds me of a big, muscular left bank Bordeaux. Saturated color. Nose has lots of graphite, cassis, elderberry, and dried twigs and leaves. Dense, but in a lean and muscular way that avoids any jamminess. Dark cassis and crushed rock are the main components. Bone dry and with very good acids. Tannins are present but reasonably soft. Will be better in a couple of years but nice now too. — 3 years ago
Rose from Sardinia? May hold this bottle as a rose option at the new wine bar.
Melon, limestone, river rocks, saline.
Great mouthfeel. Refreshing and mineral. — 10 months ago
Bitter middle at first, but give it some time to breathe and it will relax. Amazing fragrance. Really great, dark, super unique — 2 years ago
Ceccherini Cristiano
Personally i found this the great surprise of the line up.
Mainly Bovale finished off with some cannonau and carignan.
9 months of new barrique which the wine digests incredibly well.
Nice fruit, but the floral that the Bovale gives to the wine truly fascinates me and keeps me interested during every sip. Spices too plus leather and tobacco.
Tannin that will get smoother, but is already enjoyable.
Long finish
Serious alternative for cabernet drinkers
It is not the Turriga, but honestly i did not remember its beauty. Very elegant — 22 days ago
