Upped my rating to a 9.1 based on quality to price. Give it a 30 min decant. “This wine contains 100% Tempranillo Peludo-a sub variety abandoned by many because if it’s low yield end and it’s one of the most memorable real Riojas we’ve had in quite some time.” - David Lynch, SommSelect — 6 years ago
Too advanced. Light, acidic — a month ago
2019 vintage. Opened and decanted. Tasted after 15 minutes and one hour. Medium body. Sleek and silky intro and mid-palate funneling much of the concentration and carnival into the back-end impressions. Picked up the various chocolates, earth. tobacco and cedar notes just before graduation. Obviously much much too premature but showing serious promise and composure after the first recital. 5.22.26. — 3 months ago
Haven’t tried the other years. But this is award winning for a reason. Needs a little time to breathe, great for a warm summers evening — 5 years ago

Firstly feel natural. Then, pear rich high viscosity. Special. Focused native grape. Bodegas y Viñedos Verum Ulterior Parcella No 7 y 9 Albillo Real 18 @3000, Arome, 240205 — 3 years ago
2020- perfect! — 3 years ago
Beautiful enticing aromatics with some dark fruit (more red than black), a bit of kirsch, wet earth, leather, tobacco leaf and a exotic spice box. Evolved yet surprisingly fresh!
Quite light on the palate yet with a lot of character & presence, aetheric and airy yet with power & precision. Brilliant energy & elegance with lively acidity and mellowed, ultra fine tannins.
This is a meditation wine - I could sit with a glass of this the whole evening!
A grand unforgettable wine! — 5 years ago

Opened about an hour prior to service; enjoyed over the course of two days. Fairly consistent throughout but maybe even a touch better on Day 2? The 1976 “Unico” pours a garnet color with a slightly orange rim and a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with intoxicating notes of cassis, black cherry, red plum, dried flowers, coffee (for dayz), tobacco, leather, sandalwood, some organic earth and a mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long with gorgeous texture. This bottle came across remarkably young and supremely elegant. So much so, that I thought it was an inspired decision by one of our brothers-in-wine to include it in this particular lineup. We had a little leftover for the next day and it continued to show well. Brilliant stuff. Drink now through 2046+ — 10 days ago
