This is the oldest wine I’ve ever tried. The cork was in great shape and so was the wine! The nose was a little raisin-y and balsamic-y but the palate was absolutely beautiful. Faded fruits and delicate pencil shavings and light black pepper. Very much a tertiary flavor profile wine. A treat to drink this with friends and so amazed that this holds up so well 44 years later. Paired with Ropa Vieja. — 3 years ago
