Could definitely be sat down for a few years — 5 years ago
It was good after it sat about 4 hours decanted. Probably should age a few more years. — 6 years ago
I am glad we sat on this bottle for three years bc tastes great right now compared to when just released — 7 years ago
Only the second time I’ve sat down today since 9a. Big event at the house next weekend in our backyard. Gotta have it ready. Ahhh, so good to sit down and sip BSR now. The driving force to finish out the day out strong.
Lean light red fruit and that soft, razor sharp, grippy chalkiness. 😋 — 7 years ago

Found another '14 bottle, continuing to develop nicely. Bright straw yellow with aromas of fresh fruit, stone fruits and citrus with floral notes. On the palate, complex flavors, full and rich with peach, green apple, mango and vanilla spice. The wine had a soft mineral taste with nutty toasty oak, noting that the wine sat on French oak, (40% new). The finish was smooth with great texture and balance, time in the cellar will add benefit, an outstanding offering from Patz & Hall. — 8 years ago
Light, crisp nose with notes of white flowers, Asian pear, limes and a touch of salt. Zesty, light and airy on the palate. Lemon, lime and crunchy pear flavors lead to big, crisp acidity and a nice edge of slate. The finish lingers indefinitely with brisk acidity and just a touch of creaminess. — 9 years ago
This bottle was an excellent Cab Sav...it could’ve sat for several more years with no problem. I wished I had waited two more years to allow it to more mature mouthfeel...smooth but cleansing on the finish, leaving you wanting more. — 5 years ago
This is excellent, but on day one was much more brooding and heavy. After two days of air it was much more pretty. Cassis, a hint of cedar, cherry compote, fresh herbs, the finish is long and lovely. I just sat enjoying each sip. — 5 years ago

Decant it for a good hour or so, it smooths out . — 7 years ago
Continuing to work my way through wines I don’t drink a lot I could be tested on. I’m rather fond of this one and it’s an exemplary standard Chianti Classico: tart red fruit, tomato, something sanguine and a full yet well-knitted backbone of tannins and acid to ballast all. Images of pizza are now dancing in my head. Thank god this wine was easier to comprehend than The Shape of Water. Jut sat through my screener of that and have no idea what to make of it. With this wine I just know I should drink it. But also maybe make pizza. — 8 years ago

Nice wine. Aerated this one and let it sit out for a bit. Nice wine. Very smooth after it sat out. — 9 years ago
Very enjoyable CdP; loaded with raspberry, plum and other fruit with some earthy and meaty notes. Drinking great with a nice long finish. Decanted about 2 hours before we sat down to a Beef Burg dinner. — 5 years ago
This wine started off crazy vanilla and a brick wall of tannins dark fruit and leather. Then as it sat in the glass, it really all came together and was outstanding. — 5 years ago
Had this 2 years ago. Special wine not produced every year, BDX presents a different expression of Oakville, Bordeaux blend of 91% Cab Sauv, 8% Cab Franc & 1% Petit Verdot. The wine sat on French oak (55% new) for 28 months. Aromas of rich berry fruit with sweet oak, spice & cedar notes. On the palate blackberry & sweet cherry flavor with cacao & oak spice, great balance & structure. Smooth tannins, great mouthfeel, balanced acidity on a long finish ending with a slight tangy pepper character. Great value! — 6 years ago
If i had this blind, i wouldn't have guessed it was just bordeaux varietals. At least on opening.
Ya it might come off as manipulated, but the more it sat in my glass the more i was appreciating it. At that price point its hard for me not to get a mike smith, kirk venge cab or get a really nice single vineyard zin from a top zin producer.

The longer it sat the better the wine tasted. Orange golden color, fine bubbles. A slight hint of dried fruit an pears. Still the strong Chardonnay taste is big. — 9 years ago
Complex with three distinct flavor stages. Solid fruit out front with a quick round balance then a smooth lingering finish. Sat by fireside mid August. Lovely — 9 years ago
