Nice acidity and smooth leathery goodness. A very enjoyable wine — 15 days ago
Liked it with and without food, had a bit of a bite. S actually said he liked it (he tried it on the second day it was open) — 2 months ago
E’ versatile con pesce, come sashimi crudo oppure il cotto. Con minerale e fresca. — 3 months ago
one of the most memorable bottles of old bordeaux i’ve had. 36 years old and in a perfect drinking window. the leather, tobacco leaf, cigar box, tannin is all light and delicate at this point. hard to describe in words but just a beautiful bottle, really a pleasure to drink. — 4 months ago
Still solid. Nice notes of blackberry, dark chocolate, a little leather. Very pleasant. — 18 days ago
Quite nice. A good value when I bought it and even better now as it’s going for $19. From the owners of Poggio di Sotto which we had the good fortune to taste at recently. Quite complete. Tannins at this point are still pretty forbidding, but at this price a good one to stock away for the future. — 2 months ago
Such a cool story and bottle. The grower harvests only the second flower which doesn’t happen every year and so this wine only gets bottled every other year, making it a special find.
Never seen a color in the glass like this one. A velvet plush hue of pink crimson and luxurious light mauve.
Subtle strawberries, raspberries, and red roses in the bouquet.
Absolutely divine. I imagine this to be the sweet honey of the demigods. Fruit punch like drinkability and yet the elegance, lightness, and sophistication of Barbaresco. Crushed rose petals, crunchy goodness.
Very memorable. — 2 months ago
Alcohol on the nose, but not on the taste. Hints of chocolate on the tongue in a less tanic Sangiovese. Since we drink primarily red and had turbot tonight, surprisingly great pairing with fish, more like a pinot/Burgundy. — 2 months ago
