Really great. Needs about 3 hours of air. So well balanced. A lot of cocoa, blackberry, garden dirt, some tree bark, some chocolate cherries, but very dark, some menthol in the background, long finish, almost coffee and cocoa, some fruits as well. Outstanding! — 2 months ago

This is, excuse me, a damn fine bottle of wine.

Worn leather, cigar smoke, and vanilla on the nose. Intense palate of overripe blackberry and cassis. Powerful but well integrated oak. Very long, complex finish.

Drinking this alongside some vegetarian sourdough pizza with red onions, black olives, veggie sausage, and pomodoro, was simply fantastic. The nose was solid, strong, and filled with black berries, cherries, and a tiny hint of cola. The flavors were very similar to the nose but layered in some vanilla, smoked meats and a tiny bit of acid. Also, it was widely accessible to folks across the dinner party. A great bottle which added to a great meal. — a year ago
