From magnum . Little darker ruby than the asili , slightly narrower garnet , terracotta rim . Darker quite ripe fruits , more medicinal , touch of tar and mineral length . Slightly more rustic tannin , good fresh acidity . Slightly darker anis tinged finish with good length. Quite austere and really young , needs time to open . Quite rustic , a bit of a brute ! Better in 5 years and will last a further 5-10. — 7 months ago
Brick in color. Nose is cedar, dusty fruit, and old leather. Just a little pungent. The mouthfeel is great. There is bright fruit and great acidity. Medium bodied. Strawberries, raspberry, cedar, and leather. Great tannins. The nose and end shows its age. I feel like I’m 2 years late to a great party. — 5 years ago

Absolutely gorgeous tonight, with red label stardom, continuing to get better and better in the decanter wafting waves of roses, black cherries, exotic spices and tea leaves. It has immense richness but also so fresh and detailed. There is incredible density yet without weight. An amazing combination of power and elegance. — 7 months ago
An excellent big wine. Leather, dark cherry and claypot on nose. Acidic and big tannins. Tobacco, tar and black cherry with a long finish. Excellent! — 9 months ago

Some of the happiness may indeed be because I've been a little to Californian lately. Occupational hazard. This has got pretty violet aromas mixed with herbal notes of pine and faint rosemary. Palate reflects aromas, adding dried cranberries, leather and tobacco notes. Good tannic grip. — 10 years ago

Quite deep ruby , garnet , terracotta rim . Quite a lot of spice , red cherry , balsamic touch with orange rind and , touch of porcini mushroom , dark tea . Quite big and bold with , menthol , dark fruit , quite extracted , drying tannin. Ok finish , with some roasted chestnut character coming through. Needs time, better in 5-10 years and last well a further 7-10. — 6 months ago
