Birthday dinner wine. Clay pot, dried cranberry, a little balsamic. Jared cooked ribeye, sautéed mushrooms, risotto and salad. Great pairing! Knocked it out of the park! — 25 days ago
Not a ton I could discern from nose on this one, lots of red fruit and maybe some blackberry, somewhat dry and leathery finish with a bit of earthiness, lovely with some Ibérico Abanico, potatoes and grilled asparagus…a great gift from @Pooneet K — 11 days ago
Coconut! Cherries and licorice, light rust colored and translucent, lively, well balanced, great Nebbiolo! — 16 days ago
I think Montefico is one of the richer Cuvées in the PdB range. Initial response - Menthol and Mint - very savoury. Dry powdery tannins; a touch of liquorice and tar on the medium plus bodied palate. Dried cherry. Some bitterness at the finish - good grip even at 13 years. I’m not across all of the PdB Riservas but if anyone is it is probably Galloni. His description, “Imagine the precision of Ovello but with slightly darker fruit and more density and power through the middle. That’s the Montefico.” — a month ago
This 2015 was beautiful and bright and paired incredibly with a meaty pizza on a cold, blustery street. — 2 days ago
Classic color. Fruit of blood orange, cherry. Notes of rose petals, eucalyptus. Forward tannins — 7 days ago

Impressive showing here with blackcurrants and leather. The finish persists for minutes and leaves you wanting more. Very classy — 6 days ago
