Enjoying with my escargot and steak auto poivre at balthazar nyc — 10 years ago
I like my Grenache like I like my women; easy & enjoyable. The sommelier at Balthazar in NYC chose this for our table (duck confit, cheeseburger, steak tartare, kidney pie) & it was absolutely perfect. — 10 years ago

A Grand Cru Chablis for Wooj's bday at Balthazar — 12 years ago
Rich red berries and plum. Some licorice. Very dark red hue, almost purple. Fruit driven on the palate, light for a Barossa red. Great body, balanced tannins. — 12 years ago
Fruity, earthy, and well balanced. Paired great with the shaking beef — 9 years ago

First time I've been served a ripped label In a restaurant. Balthazar in London. Fantastic wine though! Everything you want in a young 1er. — 10 years ago
2007. Balthazar. Oysters, lyonnaise, skate, tartare. Beautiful wine. At the beginning of fair drinking decency — 10 years ago

Cornas is & always will be one of my absolutely favorite Appellations in whole France. What a stunning showing from Frank Balthazar. The nose shows a beautiful melange of lush dark cherries, smoked meat, violets, crushed stone and a hint of thyme. On the palate this guy is so well balanced with a beautiful integrated acidity. Very round, fine, long finish with a lovely "graphite" touch on the back end. Can play with a lot of different food. Worth every damn penny. — 9 years ago

One of my all time favourites... No one knows it but everyone loves it! — 10 years ago
Hahahahahaha! Oh this one is a bitch. She tricked me into thinking she was corked the ENTIRE first night this was open. First time I was forced to leave her on the counter feeling rejected. Left it for 2 nights and redemption has become! Reminded me almost to an exact tee of the Balthazar Cornas chaillot. Tons of violets with a massive attack of limestone and granite making her a warrior of extreme grace. Cheers to opening this little girl. She's fierce and just barely forgiving if you have the patience. — 11 years ago
Back in the NYC days. Balthazar late night with oysters. Nicolas Joly, joyful like the honey on the tip of your tongue - though not literally. Gorgeous wine. — 12 years ago
Nothing goes better with a celebratory meal at Balthazar than a relative hidden gem on the list. — 12 years ago
Gotta love #JillZimorski at the Jerome for opening up this Balthazar or Chateau Peyrassol Rose. So refreshing! — 13 years ago
