2020 vintage. First vintage for the Perrodo family, who bought this estate from French Bank Crédit Agricole in late 2019. True to type elegant Margaux with the hallmark freshness of this great vintage. A solid effort, but definitely not in the same league as the excellent La Lagune 2020 tasted alongside. The 2021 Soave Classico Monte Carbonare is decidedly savory, displaying notes of crushed rocks and dried flowers that give way to white peach and hints of gingery spice. It sweeps across the palate with a silky, textural wave of liquid florals and ripe pit-fruits, riding along a core of vibrant acidity. Notions of candied lime and saline minerals linger through the long and youthfully tense finale as the 2021 leaves a confectionary air of spice. (Eric Guido, Vinous, February 2024)

This was interesting - if served blind I would have thought it to be a French blend of Sauvignon Blanc with vermentino or rousanne - very aromatic, medium acids and a decent finish. I believe this was a local Salento wine so nice to see that they can retain aromas and acidity in such a dry mediterranean climate. — 2 years ago

Crushed rocks, curry leaves and mint give way to dried strawberries as the 2021 Brut Rosé Metodo Classico slowly blossoms in the glass. Silky and enveloping, it quickly gains contrast through a saturation of salty minerals as nectarine notes swirl throughout. The 2021 leaves a salty flourish to linger, finishing with medium length and a green apple crunch. I love the complexity within this truly engaging Nerello Mascalese sparkler.
